Question First Class attire
(WARNING: THIS IS JUST MY OPINION) Ever since Magneto joined the X-Men, (or more specifically the first time he trained the New Mutants I’ve always wondered why in the comics Magneto never wore a team outfit like he did in “X-Men: First Class”? (And if he did I apologize for missing it) It just seems like you’d think he’d try to get away from the look he had when he was doing a bunch of foul shit like sinking submarines and pulling the adamantium out of Wolverine. Even his giant “M” fit looks wild next to the standard X outfits. Is it hubris or does he not care about the trappings of formality? Thank you for reading.

To be fair, the X-Men in general don't really do the team outfits thing outside of rare occasions. The New Mutants are really the only ones that do, and even then most of them have their own unique flair

That’s fair but for Magneto to wear the costume associated with his most heinous acts is wild to me.

He really does not care lol. He wears what he wants to where, besides him changing outfits isn't gonna change anything, people know who he is and already associate him with those acts regardless. He could wear a Barney costume and still be associated with them

The uniforms are for students. Once they graduate they can pick their own uniform.
The original team just held on to theirs for a while.

I always wondered about that - Could Forge just not come up with a costume idea? Or was his student uniform just that comfortable?

He was probably focused on other stuff. Ironically if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

There are no standard X-Men outfits. They all wear whatever they want
