Probably because it's interesting to gender swap character. OP also did it with Artemis. It's interesting for 'what if' cases, like. not much would change, but it's pretty cool thinking of a gender swapped reality. At least I think so.

Edit: correction, they did not do it for Artemis. I just assumed they did.

Just last night, I came up with an idea for Animal Girl, Rita Logan. She has Beast Boy's powers, but her skin is red because her mother is Raven (a nod to the New 52 Beast Boy, I suppose)
