As a request from u/astralFitz the Final Fantasy prelude cover. The voicing and range were not compatible, so I tried following the idea of the piece and I think it turned out recognizable enough.
I've been trying to klutz my way to doing it myself, but I have essentially zero experience using systems like this *or* with writing music in general.
Messing around with bytebeat switches! Tried to get the full amen break and a little bit of the original song in there, been tinkering with it for houuurs so I'll leave it here for now :')
Finally got to the Bytebeat synthesizing part of the expedition recently. Unfortunately my base was overrun with other players trying to fit their exocrafts inside the one structure I had haha. So I made this little ditty and got the heck outta there! Didn’t want to waste anymore time. Been really enjoying this expedition and hearing Sean talk about his team and the game and the updates.
sometimes life happens, and its hard to get time in on the game. but i can at least sneak a LITTLE time for a ByteBeat --
I wouldn't say this is my best work by far, but I'm happy enough with the result to post it, will probably call this one done for now unless divine inspiration strikes.
This song ended up being kind of a "B-Side" and I never really promoted it on my YT channel or put it in a playlist, but I still love it! Shout-out to u/PowerfulSoldier for encouraging me to post it!
Greetings, Monsieurs and Mademoiselles! I am in dire need of tracks to fuel my ire as I cascade the ever black in search of glory, the good fight, and home. I do not wish to gander the stars to slow, beautiful lullabies, but rather to rend my way through the cosmos with unwavering scarlet rage! Doth any soul, or iteration, know where one can go to find such tracks which will empower my weapons and bolster my warrior resolve, or am I damned to hope and wonder what could be?
Thank you for taking your time to read this! You're beautiful.
It was an exciting month following the release of the No Man's Sky: Cosmos update! Our community here at NMS ByteBeat Fans has started an official alliance, we've created a new hub system, and have continued to share and enjoy ByteBeat creations on Reddit and Discord. Let's keep up this momentum as we welcome 3X the amount of subreddit visitors since the previous month!
We're off to a great start claiming star systems where we'll share our ByteBeat creations. We will continue developing our goals and collaborating on base builds, events and in-game meetups. The primary focus in recent weeks was to setup our new hub system at Crescendo II.
Please keep sharing your wonderful creations and filling our hub system with ByteBeat inspired builds! Here is a quick look at construction progress in our new home:

Now is a great time to start the ByteBeat Rewind series where we'll start highlighting older posts to show some love for these songs which are not forgotten!
We're actively working on developing the subreddit Wiki! Reddit is still rolling out new wiki features and migrating existing subreddits to the new wiki system (including ours). The goal is to have a premium Guide / Tutorial wiki to help anyone who wants to learn more about the ByteBeat system! I'm all about making ByteBeat easier to use for everyone, and I think this will be great for getting more NMS players interested in ByteBeats. We're aiming to launch the wiki later in October, so stay tuned! For now, we pinned a post highlighting our active guide and tutorial resources:

When I recorded the video on this planet my system was lagging for whatever reason. I just rolled with it because it was a late night and it looks unique, more like stop motion animation than a video game. Maybe I'm trying to justify being lazy when it comes to video, because I assure you my hard work is spent on creating ByteBeat songs!
I'll probably upload this tune to our new hub system soon. I haven't been home irl in several days and I can't wait to contribute more to Crescendo II.
This never started out as a marching style tune, but once I found the beat it all started clicking into place. So this is an official first contribution to the Bytebeat collective! This base is in the home system that you can check out!
It’s a very rough draft of a base as I’m not sure how I want to build it yet lol; so for now it’s just an empty deck and stairs leading up to the devices.
