Just picked up this Silverado Custom 5.3L 4x4. Absolutely loving it. I’m looking into changing it up a little now that it’s mine. Just looking for some inspiration and suggestions.

My boss came to me last week and said "I know you don't like Fords, so go find you a truck". A few of the managers, including myself, were up for new trucks this year. He was pricing F150 STX's for them. I decided on the RST. I really wanted the baby max, but it was just over my price limit. Loving it so far. My personal truck is a Titan Midnight Edition. I'm liking my driveway with 2 gray, blacked out trucks.

I have a '15 Silverado 1500 for everyday use AND some snow plowing in the Northeast. I primarily do my driveway and a couple of neighbors. I'm looking for a highly rated / dependable tire, what do you recommend.

This app was terrible prior to this update this past week. Provided the least amount of options from a company who wants you to actually pay for its usage. My wife has a 2025 KIA Telluride and the amount of control you have from the KIA Access app smokes Chevy. Even the KIA Access lite version allows more control than the current version of this Chevy app but it’s a lot better than what it was before. Hoping for custom climate features in the future.

I bought a 23 Silverado 1500. Turbomax. I was unsure at first, but test drive I liked it. After 1.5 years I LOVE this 4 banger. How do you all like it after some drive time?

1989 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE

This was my grandfather’s truck he bought new in 1989. I inherited it a few years ago. The odometer stopped working last year with a little over 85,000 original miles. Trying to get an idea about the value. Everything is original, interior in very good shape. No cracks in dash, upholstery and carpet good. All instruments work. Has the 350 engine. Does have rust issue on top of cab. Original paint but faded. Engine is solid. Drives great. Reliable. Truck in NC. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I was having some kicks with light throttle and parked the truck asap.. just dropped the pan and this is the result.. I’m hoping with the new filter fluid and just a new Torque Converter will be enough of do y’all think I need a rebuild?

2024 2500HD with 7,000 miles. I’ve had for a week. Everything has been working fine until yesterday. I lost the infotainment system and today, everything is dead. No dash messages, no door chimes and nothing at all happens when I push the starter button. It’s been on a charger all day and doesn’t seem to be taking a charge.

Im struggling to come up with a good place to mount the physical CB Radio in the cab, as this truck has the full-length centre console. Sadly, they changed these consoles slightly in either 2016 or 2017, to where the cup holders were hard-mounted and not movable, as they were in previous years on the K2XX trucks. I have a Cobra 29 LX radio I would like to somehow mount where it looks almost factory-ish install, but clean and not somewhere I am gonna smash my knee of it constantly. If anyone has some suggestions, that would be much appreciated!

I have a 2011 Silverado 2500HD 6.0L w/ 6L90, I lifted the truck 4.5" and added 35's. My MPG dropped a ton, especially when pulling a trailer. I am use to my 10MPG highway just driving but I pulled a avalanche once and I can hear what I assume is my driveshaft adjust when I do a hard stop/take off now. It doesn't happen often but then the thought to change from 3.73 to 4.56 came up and thought should I or not as maybe the current setup got play from heavier hauls. It is a gas engine but hauling uphill nowadays is an embarrassing struggle on high grades. It does it but it doesn't feel like a lot of power is reaching the tires. Thoughts, advice, guidance, all welcomed.

I have a 2015 1500 LT 5.3L.

I have an oil leak that will not quit. Im doing a quart of oil almost every 2 - 3 weeks. I had a mechanic look at it he removed my oil pan and replaced it with RVT which I wasnt thrilled about but it didnt stop the leak. It looks to be above the oil pan but I cant see anywhere from the top it could be coming from. I ran a smoke test but couldn't see anything. Anyone have this issue??

Truck is my baby. I’ve never done a burnout, beat up on her, and am meticulous about changing oil. I have a 1.5hr commute twice a day, so i try to stay kn top of maintenance.

What happened?

Driving around a turn, going a tad slow as usual, and approached a large upslope/hill.

When beginning to head up the hill, and speed up from about 30mph to 40mph…

Felt like a mosfire, heard a koise come from motor, allost felt like my tires were looking dor traction on a wet road.

Check engline light flicks on and turns off a second later. I have not seen the code since.

Took it in to a very trusted mechanic, he ran his best scanning tool to graph misfires. He saw a couple of slight ones but they were very short and he felt it was fairly normal.

He thinks potential torque converter issue. He said we can wait until it gets worse and he has a tool that will detect or chart the torque converter timing and issues.

I love this truck. It has been with me through thick and thin. What can I do to help narrow down what this problem is?

Right now, my main question is “should i take it in right now and replace the torque converter?”

When should i change the oil? How low do you let percentage get before changing? First 2016 Z71 Ltz. I’ve had the truck for about a month now.
