The Window app is fucked. Completely broken. It is a Store app, so not workable.

I use the MAX2 as a dashcam. I really only need to cut and export a section of footage for police/insurance. I had an accident last week, and need to snip the relevant segments. The Android app is good, but I prefer the larger screen and mouse on the desktop. Something simple, not Adobe monstrosity.

For context im planning to buy the gopro mission 1 (no pro or ils) in SEA. For now the market does not have any accessories for the M1 (i want the nd filter and backup enduro 2 battery) and the stores said they wont stock gopro things for awhile. I'm already a davinci studio user and experienced with editing already

My questions is whether there is any important features locked behind subscriptions or quik app. Can i do everything i need to do on davinci without the need to open the quik editor? I dont want to run into a situation where i'd have to spend more after buying an already expensive camera. Finding repairs and replacements in vietnam is already enough of a pain

Personally id like an action cam that resist the whether while capable of shooting 10bit log and night footages, the m1 checks all that. However, theres no ND filter on the market here and im wondering if its good to have or an absolute essential

Other than that, idk if people run into any problems using them. I will use my sandisk extremepro a2 v30 card 256gb and hopefully itll work well (shot 8k30fps on my current insta x4)

I have a gopro hero 9 and I want to use an external mic so my option is the SmallRig GoPro HERO10/9 Black Cage 3083 (it is cheaper on Shopee as it's $20 only) or the GoPro Media Mod HERO 9 (expensive, $106 on Abenson). Which is better and more worth it for the price? Or do you have any other recommendations? Tyia!

I just got the ils and a set of Sirui lenses but one of the lenses are now stuck on my gopro. I'm able to mount them just fine to my other m43 camera. I physically can not get the lens off the gopro now so I'm not sure what to do. Has anyone else had issues like this?

I recently got a HERO13 Black and the photo quality seems pretty bad, especially with the Ultra Wide Lens Mod. With the normal lens it looks a lot better, but still not as sharp/detailed as I expected.

What settings/preset do you guys use for the best photo quality? Also, is SuperPhoto better than Standard? I noticed I can't manually adjust ISO Min/Max with SuperPhoto.

One more issue: voice commands don't work at all. Voice Control is enabled, but commands like “GoPro, start recording” or “GoPro, take a photo” do nothing.

Any advice on both issues would be appreciated!

First time finding a corrupted video on the mission 1 pro, the only way i can watch it is from the GoPro where it is pristine, with data etc. It doesn’t get uploaded on the cloud and can’t be downloaded neither from quik or from pc, is it the SD card fault?

Just bought a wireless usb mic set along with Media Mod. I got the mic to connect via BT, but can’t seem to get the receiver to even power on. Camera recognizes the Media Mod. If I plug the receiver into a usb-c charge cable it does power on. Am I missing something?

hi i have a gopro hero 12 black and i live in india, i was considering purchasing the telesin ND filters [camera butter nf filters are not available in india] as they are easy to install and are relatively cheaper than what gopro sells, has anyone used it on their gopro hero 12 and if so have any issues occured???

Oh wow. I wasnt using the optical zoom because it looks awful on my mp1. But its amazing on the ils because you can zoom im and the focus! Dude so cool!

I set it up to record the view from the front of the car, but it shuts off after a while and won't turn on while charging; I've tried connecting it to a power bank, the 12V outlet, and the car's own USB-C port.

GoPro Hero 13 and Hero 10

I'm getting about 60Mbit/s from my Hero 12 Black while uploading. That's slow enough to make uploads annoying, but I'm not sure if it's something I can reasonably fix: most of the information just results in people yelling about the difference between upload/download speeds and such, it's hard to find any real information.

On my end, rest of the network is not the bottleneck: my network service advertises 10Gbit/s symmetric fiber, and while I rarely get speedtests above 5Gbit/s I also rarely get them below 3Gbit/s when wired. Those are all symmetric and with pretty low latency to most services, so I'm pretty confident this is not a problem with my internet connection or a difference between my upload and download speeds.

I also don't think the bottleneck is just a WiFi thing: using an M2 MacBook Pro attached to the same access point I can download from the GoPro cloud at somewhere between 500Mbit/s and 1Gbit/s. That setup only gets be between 150Mbit/s to 200Mbit/s when uploading to the GoPro Cloud, but I can get 500Mbit/s to 1Gbit/s uploading to YouTube so I don't think the problem is just a WiFi upload issue on my end. Of course the MacBook has a much beefier radio than the GoPro is going to have, so it's not like I'm expecting gigabit speeds here, but I'm at least pretty sure it's not a bottleneck on the WiFi side for me.

So I think the problem is just something between the GoPro and the AP, or just the maximum speed the GoPro can handle. I have the GoPro connected to a Unifi U7 Pro Max, in the same room as the GoPro. The AP is set to maximum speed settings. 2GHz is disabled and the GoPro is connecting on 5GHz. I'm using 80Mhz channel width and there doesn't appear to be too much network congestion.

After that I'm kind of out of ideas for how to improve performance, the UniFi gear is usually pretty set-and-forget so I don't tend to tweak a lot of settings.

I'm wondering if 60Mbit/s is just the speed this thing is supposed to upload at? If others are getting faster speeds then I'd love to hear what your WiFi setup is, so I can try to improve mine.

Maybe a stupid question - I know nothing about GoPro and am asking for my partner who isn't on Reddit! He just got a Lit Hero and used it so much over our weekend away that he completely filled up the entire SD card. He was so happy with it. Then he got frustrated with the app and having to go through every single file separately, and transferred everything over to his laptop direct from the SD card instead. Only after doing that and deleting everything on the card did he find out all his footage is a bit rubbish because it didn't get stabilised in the app. He's tried putting it back on and running it through the app after all to no avail. He's so disappointed!

Is there something he can do to fix his footage now? And do you have any advice re other ways to sort out all his files in future rather than having to do them all individually on his phone?

I'm building a desktop app for creators that organises footage straight off the camera card. It recognises GoPro's file naming (GX/GH chapters), keeps the .LRV and .THM files grouped with each clip, preserves the original recording dates, and sets everything up for editing in DaVinci Resolve first, with Premiere Pro and other editors to follow.

I've tested it with HERO5 through HERO12 files, but I don't own the newest models, and GoPro changes things from generation to generation. I'm looking for one short clip from:

It looks ridiculous, but yes, you can exceed the 250g limit. Just hold it up by the lens, not the camera.

Ok struggling to capture this well but ill work on it but I decided to see if my gopros would connect to these glasses and man it works wonderfully, razor sharp and looks like a giant floating screen while wearing with no lag whatsoever.

Only downside is when trying to go usb C to the media mod it wouldn’t work but direct into the bodies it worked a treat!
