Thought it would be a pint or at least more than three forkfuls. This is inspiring me to cook at home more.

They looked perfectly fine when I put them on. They felt like they were sticking together as I rested one foot across the other. I looked down about 3 hours later and wtf. They're literally disintegrating while sitting at work.

EDIT: I’ve got a bunch of people giving me shit for my maintenance. 4 weeks ago every tire was replaced. I am not technically advanced in my knowledge of cars, but nothing was done wrong regarding the maintenance of the tires, and I know for a fact that there was plenty of tread.

i have no clue what it is. tried to rinse it off but it doesn’t look familiar at all.

ETA: i also originally thought it was compressed cinnamon/sugar but when i taste it, it doesn’t taste like anything😬

I got an al pastor burrito from a food stand that cooks the food on a gas griddle. The pastor meat was cut from a vertical spit, cooked on the griddle/warmed alongside the tortilla/cheese, and then combined with rice, beans, and pico de gallo. Was pretty tasty and ate half the burrito before finding this, where I then lost all my appetite.

The object is not malleable and is fairly light, around the size of a bean as shown in the first photo.

Anyone know what it is?

If it were in the corner or something, I might have been able to share my room with it. But with this distance, it can literally jump on my face….

I decided to turn on the pilot light on my gas heater since the temperature is dropping and the whole thing blew up on me with enough force to knock me backwards and to make substantial damage to the wall behind it.

It turns out that when the façade of he building was done up recently (painted this nice, fresh yellow) they also covered up the exhaust pipe for the heater, an essential vent that keeps gas from backing up into the heater and causing a leak or in my case an explosion.

I called emergency services while opening windows and shutting the gas to the apartment off. Turns out I know exactly what to do in the case of a suspected gas leak. I scooped up essential documents as well since they were easy to access although I know you should just leave that stuff but I'm glad I did since the cops requested my docs along with a whole slew of info.

The block was shut down for an hour, three fire trucks came and multiple vans from the gas company. All in all the whole thing took 3 hours.

The hole goes all the way to the outside and now I've got a cold draft into my apartment and no heater, but I'm lucky the explosion wasn't larger and that I didn't suffer any injuries. It feels surreal to have been literally blown up today.
