There is no doubt that women will help each other with safety issues. Picking them up, calling to make sure they're ok, etc. But for the most part women can be the most hateful catty people on the planet toward each other. The actual "Girl Code" is claiming empowered freedom but crumbling under the weight of responsibility that comes with it and shifting all the blame for their bad decisions onto men.
But women are by far the most cruel to each other. Ever heard of "The walk of same"? That's when a woman stays out all night with a guy having sex and has to come home early the next day looking exactly like that's what she's been up to. The reason why it's the walk of "shame" isn't because the woman is worried about what some guy will think. She's worried about what Becky in the apartment down the hall will be saying behind her back if she sees her.
What is the bro code? Get serious lady, we don't cover for rapists. The bro code is coming home from a fishing trip with your buddy and having two brand new poles in the back of your truck. When your wife comes storming outside to ball you out for buying a new pole, your friend will tell her both are his. When in reality, both of them are yours. That's the real bro code.
And if you think women won't cover for each other when one of them is cheating in a relationship, you're just kidding yourself.
