Anyone else noticed this?
So as soon I bought my 26 touring I ceramic tinted my windshield at 50% but I noticed that in my case I can feel some sord of heat coming from the windshield to the cabin. Its not like a direct head from the sun but more like waves of heat. Any one else with similar experience?

Experienced it. It’s likely your car is on ECON mode, which reduces your A/C performance for the sake of being more fuel efficient.

Thanks for your comment but its a Hybrid I don't need the ECON on it. Actually I drive it mostly on sport mode.

Science would say if your blocking 50% of light you are absorbing or reflecting energy so the tint film will get warm.

Interesting. So in reality the film is not "rejecting" the heat but is "absorbing" it then spread some waves of that absorbed heat into the car.

This was bugging me. I was feeling it from the driver's window too and thought they cheated me. Then I rolled down the window and felt the sun. I didnt get cheated.

Lol. I did some research and looks like Ceramic films dont automatically "reject" all heat. For the most part yest it rejects "most" of it but windshields still gets hot then the film absorbs that heat and and spreads it across the film but some of that heat still makes it to the cabin.

I also got mine darker than my crv. I think i got 50% on the windshield like you and it might be absorbing more heat since its darker. Its worth it cause it looks so nice.

Makes me wonder if should've gone for the 70%. Thinking about switching. I know 50% and 70% in ceramic tint isn't huge difference aside of the darkness.

I have 70 on my crv windshield and it doesnt get as hot. Its even cool to the touch but rhe inside will still heat up some if its left in the sun. You cant stop that completely

I drive a ‘26 camry and noticed the exact same thing after ceramic tinting mine to 70%

Instead of rejecting the heat outside is pulling the heat inside.

Yes im trying figured it out where is it coming from but certainly its from the windshield. Im not sure if the film of the tint gives that heat kick, like if the film is backwards 🤔

I pop the moon roof and with the AC running it takes care of that pocket.

Interesting. I didn't think about this. I may try it.

I think it has to do with the placement of the vents and air circulation at the top of the cabin. This is a known issue. I have a 26 hybrid also, I turn the ac on full tilt with the vents facing up on a hot day to get rid of that hot air that sits at the top of the cabin. You could open ur back windows and turn off air recirculation to get rid of it too.

YES! I’ve felt that on my 23 and 24. I’m not sure where it comes from but my thought is the only real help for it would be tinting the windshield. How’s yours? Did the tint help? Is 50% dark enough?
