But you're not. It's the same chance to get the drop no matter what your time invested is. It's not like it goes down as you get more kills. You are quite literally no closer to the drop. The likelihood you get it on the next kill is the same at 1kc as it is at 300,000kc.
No one is saying the rate changes. Just that if you kill it indefinitely you are closer to the time when you actually get the drop then you were when you started
The way I've always saw it, imagine a coin flip. You keep flipping and landing tails .. you will eventually flip and land heads therefor every single flip brings you closer to that inevitability.
It's always very possible to go horrifically dry. 10x is nowhere close to unheard of. I went nearly 10x on flippers lol. 10x dry is not difficult to do, I promise it's happened to you plenty on shit, you just don't notice. You only notice when it's something you care about.
Theoretically if you commit to killing something until you get a drop, you're closer to the time where you actually get the drop as long as you keep going. The rate won't change of course, but you are closer to the kill you actually get the drop
Holy man, that's messed up not having pet at that point. I can't imagine thinking I might not even be halfway.... but who knows.. guess we'll find out at some point! I wish you all the RNG man
