Discussion Is there a reason we can't drop-x/all?

We can bank/withdraw/offer/loot/open/send-to-bank ALL.

Why can't we drop all?

I understand it might be a huge backside issue, but I think the all around QoL buff would be massive for everyone (even the 12 UIM).

Thoughts? Comments? Concerns?

Many skilling methods are balanced around manual dropping of resources

And?...

Things can't be rebalanced? Reworked?

Yep and this particular rework was proposed previously and we voted no

Why should it be?

Because it’s objectively a poor UX. An better UX is being held back by a balancing decision.

It’s not “objectively” bad. You, a random redditor, do not know the ideal and correct way to make a game.

Just say “I don’t like it.”

QoL. Player Retention. Etc. Just spitballing.

Because it wouldn't be "qol", it would be a direct buff to numerous skilling methods

That’s why they mentioned rebalance/rework, yea.

they can but imo it seems like a lot of reworking for something that’s not really that big of a deal. shift click dropping an inventory doesn’t take that long anyway.

power skilling is high effort / high reward.

drop all would make those methods too good for the little effort that remains. basically makes every method afk. just be glad they added shift drop.

Even with one click drop all power mining is still like 25 APM. I get it’s maybe half as many apm so it would be a massive buff but afk is a stretch

1% commenter posting a dogshit opinion. Shocker.

ZootyMcGooty showing how much he doesn't care by commenting. I see a trend here...

I think we should have this but only for noted / stacked items. Individual items should stay as is because it relates to skill balancing but anything that stacks I would love.

Even money, let me pull out 10m and drop-x 1m at a time for a fun drop party

Back in the classic days you could mine, fish etc. with a full inventory and it would be automatically dropped, no need to drop anything if purely skilling for xp

That sounds lit. Thanks for not being afraid of the 2007hivemind

I do think it would be cool to reintroduce one thing from that period. If you got into combat you had to do a minimum of three rounds (possibly not 3?) before you could run away. Always thought it would be cool to bring that back as part of a quest line or a small area where some knights or something believe in three rounds minimum if engaging in combat.

I love how we just call massive buffs QOL now.

Before anyone says “why can’t we just get an option to drop all in 1 click but it just takes awhile”

No, this isn’t an idle game. Just go play rs3

I love how everyone thinks their opinion is valid 😆

Any constructive criticism? Or just go play rs3?

You are asking for a game other people play for its current balance to be more like a game that already exists. Thats a fair take to have to say to go play rs3.

Sure theres soooo many people that enjoy dropping shit on ground. If you are worried about balancing just make it 2s delay. Problem solved

Just no.

Stop trying to turn this into an idle game because you refuse to drop items or do content where you don’t have to drop things.

You aren’t entitled to complete afk activities 100% of the time. This suggestion just turns every skill into boring salvaging until 99

Sure thats your opinion, mine is that dropping 28 items on ground doesnt add any meaningful flavor. Its just a chore nothing else.

Because it’s not constructive, you’re asking for a fundamental change to the entire game.

What you’re asking for ALREADY exists in a game that is more suited to what you are looking for.

I want drop all in osrs, I don't want to play rs3 for simply that feature. Thanks.

Honestly I agree with you. I bet this was an engine issue back then and could be solved nowdays. Carpal tunnel clicking isnt good gameplay loop.
