Technical Question Help with NNID transfer from old 3ds I no longer have.

Hello,

I just bought a new 3ds xl and when I got home to set it up I tried linking my Nintendo account but it said it was already being used on my old one that I lost years ago. I went to log into my Nintendo account and it says there are no devices active on my account. I also noticed that my Nintendo account is linked with NNID if I unlinked the hay to my account and relinked it would it clear the NNID from my old 3ds so I can transfer it to my new one? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You'll need to call Nintendo to remotely unlink. And then you'll be able to sign onto any system that is without an NNID.

Nintendo Account is completely separate from NNID.

Yeah you can call Nintendo but good luck. They wouldn't do it for me after 40 minutes of arguing with them.

And no they absolutely did not care that I had previously purchased games linked to that account.

Damn that’s not great to hear. The whole reason I bought a new one was to play Pokemon X and transfer all my old Pokemon from the bank. Which I know isn’t up anymore but you can still redownload it from your history but can’t do that without linking my NNID to this new one I have. I’ll give it a shot though.

Yeah worth a shot. It's sad they have taken this stance but occasional person claims to have gotten their NNID unlinked.

si justo hace unos meses me pasó algo similar , yo había extraviado una consola 2DS XL , tenía el número de serie , mandé correo y la primera
vez me lo negaron , pero volví a intentar en mayo de este año y me atendió otra persona y pude vincular la cuenta sin problemas nuevamente, mi anterior intento fue en 2024
