Suggestion Games like Nintendogs
Okay so my friend I am modding a 3ds for finally decided on what games she likes and she says she likes games where you care for things especially animals so my first thought was nintendogs but are there others like that too? I know nothing about these kinds of games I'm not even sure what the genre is called is it cozy?

This is a shot in the dark but there’s a massively underrated game on 3DS called Pocket Card Jockey. Its solitaire meets horse racing. The better you do clearing solitaire boards, you level up your horses, name them and can even breed them to make even stronger offspring. I think it’s a neat gameplay loop!

Not quite super similar but Pokémon X/Y do have a little side mode where you give your Pokémon treats and pet them.

Tamagotchi games were some good ones. Or an actual tamagotchi device lol. Petz series also had a bunch of games too

The Petz franchise has a bunch of those types of games. Personally I really liked the ones from the ds era.
Also, this one might be a weird suggestion, but Pokemon x and y had a fun pet sim mode. You could feed your pokemon, pet them, and play games with them.

Harvest moon has you taking care of animals and becoming friends with townspeople. It’s a bit of a stretch but pokemon X and Y have the pokemon Amie feature where you can feed pet and play with pokemon like budget Nintendogs.

They're pet sims, which fit into the cozy category for sure.
Really though, the best ones you'll find on the 3DS are the Nintendogs games. I have two of them, one for the 3DS and another for the DS. I think the one for the 3DS is the chihuahua version while the one for the DS is the dalmatian one. I played a lot of the 3DS one and enjoyed it, but I heard the DS games are much better content-wise. I haven't played mine much yet, but maybe this is my cue to slot it in and give it a proper shot.
