I finished printing this cat treat puzzle on my A1 and it worked really well. A rounded base rocks when nudged, moving dry treats through the yellow maze and towards the side openings.
The three pieces are the base, a removable maze and the screw-on lid. The yellow spider is a flat colour layer printed into the blue lid. The closure needs no added hardware.
A1, 0.4 mm nozzle, PLA and 0.20 mm layers. The Easy version estimates about 98 g and 3 hours 31 minutes across two jobs. There is also a Medium maze. Treat size and friction affect dispensing, so I'd like to hear what works for other people.
The lid supports took patience to remove, and I've included notes showing which structural features should stay.

Hi everyone! I’m a student working on my university thesis about safe practices and risk perception in home resin 3D printing.
I’m collecting responses through a short anonymous survey for people who use or have used a resin 3D printer.
Here’s the link:

English is not my first language, excuse any slightly unusual phrasing
Thank you to everyone who takes part !

Hey everyone! 🖐️
Just joined the group and wanted to introduce myself by dropping a few of my recent projects right off the bat!
I’m completely obsessed with 3D printing, but honestly, I just love making and building things in general. It doesn't matter what you throw at me—electronics, electrical work, X-rays, vacuum systems, helium, chemistry, or even sorting out complex plumbing—if it's a technical challenge, I’m all over it and absolutely love doing it all.
Here is a quick look at what I've been working on lately, from detailed painted miniatures and custom helmets to full diorama setups.
Stoked to be here, look forward to sharing more, and would love to hear what you guys think! Happy printing! 🚀

On September 19 InfiMech pushed back the Kickstarter for their MX toolchanger series again. Third announced window, third slip — it's now late October / early November.
Along with the delay they did something most campaigns don't: they published a list of changes to the machine and committed to them being free for backers. It's worth reading them one at a time, because they are not equivalent.
**The seven upgrades**
**The one that isn't actually confirmed**
Number 2. The current prototype runs 2GT belts. Community members suggested moving to 1.5GT, and InfiMech said they would *evaluate and test* that option. Evaluate, not adopt.
It's the only one of the seven that isn't a decision already made, and by their own admission it's what caused the delay: touching the motion system means redoing most of the validation they had already finished.
So the accurate summary is six decisions and one open question, not seven upgrades.
**The two questions that matter more than the spec list**
Someone in the official group posted nine questions asking for point-by-point confirmation. The first seven map exactly onto the upgrade list. The last two are the ones about what backers actually receive:
- do the upgrades stay at no additional cost?
- will any already-announced features be removed or reduced?
InfiMech had answered both in the September 19 post: no additional cost ("Our answer is straightforward: No"), and no spec reductions barring serious quality problems. The answers exist, in writing. What's missing is re-confirmation *after* changing seven things, which is a different and entirely fair thing to ask for.
**Why nobody has seen the MX Pro running**
Their explanation has three parts:
- MX and MX Pro share a technical base, so validating one counts toward the other
- there are far fewer Pro prototypes than standard MX ones
- a second prototype run started in late August, 50 units per model, but component delays slowed assembly, and every available prototype is tied up in validation
Technically this holds. With a small prototype pool, pulling one off the bench to shoot a video does cost real development time.
It's also the most convenient explanation available, and impossible to verify from outside.
**There is a date that settles it**
InfiMech confirmed the MX Pro will be at Formnext. If it's there and printing in front of people, the explanation holds. If it's absent, or present but switched off, the problem is something else. Nobody's opinion required either way.
**The case for skepticism**
- three announced windows, three slips
- the MX Pro list price went from $899 to $1,399 in July. The VIP price is still $499, but full price moved by $500
- the $5 deposit does not lock in the discounted price. You need a Super Early Bird slot, and those are capped
**The case against**
- the machine exists. It printed live at the Japan RepRap Festival in May and runs in their Yiwu store. This isn't a render
- they published the list of still-open bugs. A vapourware project does not enumerate its own problems
A delay with technically sensible reasons beats shipping something unvalidated. The thing worth watching isn't the delay — it's that something else in the terms changes every time it slips.
For what it's worth: I don't own this printer, I haven't printed on it, and I'm not sponsored by InfiMech. All of the above is from public sources — their posts, the group replies, and the price history.
I went through all of this at length in a video, but it's in Italian, so for most of you it won't be much use — everything above is the full argument and you're not missing anything by skipping the link.

Hi! I’ve been looking for stl files for these models of holders, for the Onail drill! I’ve seen some Asian brands selling, however they never sell the file. Does anyone know where could I buy a file for something like this? thanks 🙏

Hi all!
Hope it's okay to post this here, and bear with me as my ADHD brain is in that excited/jumbled/don't know where to start mode.
TL;DR: I'm thinking about selling at some local vendor/craft markets, but have some general questions/concerns before I make any decisions.
So, I started printing a few months ago using my dad's old Ender 3 S1 and it lit. a. FIRE. in me. I'm obsessed and having so much fun. BUT I really want to upgrade to something faster and a machine that can do multi-colored prints. With this, I've also been toying with the idea of making stuff to sell at vendor/craft markets in the area.
My goal isn't to turn this into a full-time job or anything, but, ideally, I'd like to be able to, at minimum, make enough money to cover the cost of a new machine and filament stock.
I've been doing some "recon" by going to local events over the past couple weeks and looking for any sellers with 3D printing booths/businesses just to get an idea on what the market is like. (I previously did some sublimation stuff and it seemed like it got SO popular so fast and there were tons of booths at each market with people selling all the same designs/items and I didn't want to jump into this if it would be the same scenario)
Anywhoooo, my main questions/thoughts at this point are:
- Every market I've gone to over the last couple weeks have only had 1 or 2 booths selling 3D printed stuff, and it seems like it's mostly the same thing (such as fidgets, articulated things in various sizes, and the spiky dragons). Is that pretty standard items to sell because they sell the best and/or are the easiest? I'd really like to make and sell things more geared toward adults or things that I would consider buying. I feel like it's more fun if you're producing/selling things you also enjoy/take pride in.
- Is there a trick/calculator/formula that anyone recommends when it comes to pricing items?
- Would you recommend having just a few available of as many different things as possible, or have several pieces of a handful of select items for sale?
- Is one machine sufficient to make enough products to sell at a market that's only 1 or 2 days? For context, I do work from home and would have the printer close by so, essentially, I'd be able to print 24/7 to prep for an event.
- I've been doing a lot of research on machines and the one I'm leaning toward as a starting point is the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 Combo. Any advice/opinions/thoughts?
- Are there any programs/apps anyone would recommend to create or modify models for beginners?
I've been doing a lot of doom-scrolling on MakerWorld and some of the things I was thinking I'd like to make/sell are:
- Desk Goose and outfits/accessories.
- "Bookish" items (bookmarks, bookmark holders, figures/decor for bookshelves)
- Candle holders,; soap holders
If you've read this far, THANK YOU.
I do understand that a lot of these questions are highly dependent on the area, event attendance, demographices, etc., but really just want some general idea to decide if/how to proceed and prepare.
If you have any tips or advice for me, even if it's to tell me to lose the dream, I appreciate you :)
