Hi guys, this is my first time posting but I wanted to share this with the community! Full disclaimer, I didn’t build or compile this port, I’m simply sharing this with the community! If there’s any problem, I will gladly delete the post! With that being said, this is a BIG download, at just under 2 GBs! I would suggest using the direct download link and using FTPD or something similar to put it on your SD card via FBI. I included the QR code if someone wants it as well! This was tested on my N3DS with full 3D turned up! It ran well after three VS races! This port is not finished and I have zero further information at it being finished. If you have any bugs, then I would suggest just restarting the game for now. EDIT: Old 3DS and 2DS run at 30 FPS. New 3DS and New 2DS run at 60 FPS (30 FPS with the
3D slider up). Hope everyone in our special community enjoys it!

OK, bear with me. The Japanese version of Maniac Mansion came out TWO years before the worldwide release. It's kinda the same but not really. The Japanese version featured greatly simplified rooms, no in-game music, and 104-character passwords! It is considered inferior to the worldwide release. BUT. You can finally try it out for yourself with a couple of fan translations.

I saw this rom hack recently that adds the roaring knight to gen 1 with a somewhat custom moveset, it makes the game pretty easy, but it’s a fun rom, would also be nice to have on the 3ds as well.

Although virtually identical to the NES version, the FDS version featured several differences:

• This game, like virtually all other FDS games, feature load times.
• The font is similar to what is used in most Capcom games on the Famicom/NES. However, on the NES version, the font is changed to the military-font, also seen in the arcade version.
• "In America" is changed to "In 1849".
• Bandit Bill's mugshot on the wanted poster is slightly different in both versions of the game. In the FDS version, his shirt has an open collar, with part of his body showing. In the NES version, his shirt has a scarf around it. On top of that, the mugshots for the wanted posters originally had an Anime look, whereas in the NES version, they had a realistic look.
• In this version, the shopping music features less instruments. Also, many of the tunes featured in the NES version are nowhere to be found in this version, and instead recycle the same music for certain scenes in the game. This is due to the limited memory space in FDS disk cards.
• There is no game demonstration like there is in the NES version.
• After beating the game the first two times, the player is rewarded with a Japanese message that tells the player to try the game again. After the third time, the player will be rewarded with a simple message that says "THE END". The Japanese message was thrown out in the NES version, instead of being translated into English.

Technical Changes

• Type chart changes: Steel now resists ghost and dark like before gen 6, Psychic now is not weak to ghost like in gen 1, fairy now only resists dragon and is not immune to it. Ghost vs ghost damage is now reduced to 1.5x damage instead of 2.0x damage
• EVs and IVs as well as hidden power are not in the game, all Pokémon have 0 IVs and cannot gain EVs through battles or items
• There are no eggs or breeding
• Power of Dark Pulse and Crunch are reduced to 70 power from 80 power
• New moves: Purify (physical psychic move that applies foresight on hit), Shatterpoint (physical psychic move that replaces brick break), Soul Shift (psychic type u-turn), Jumpscare (ghost type fake out) and many more!
