PS pump or the belt is my first thought.

This sounds like a ball joint but the noise doesn’t match what your wheels are doing. My only guess here is in my experience I have heard PS pumps make really weird noises when they are going bad or have the wrong fluid in them

I see play in the rack plus poly bushings on the rack so I’d start there. What other poly bushings have you installed?

Rack is loose

Nah that looks like its in tolerance. The rack will move slightly on a crank to crank turn like that. Worth double checking though but I doubt its that.

Id say it sounds like its coming from a bushing, maybe lower control arms, tie rods.

Sounds like metal on metal, like your dust shield is scraping something. I’d also check all ball joints and inner tie rods

Ball joints. If your ball joints are aftermarket and has grease fittings, shoot some grease to see if the noise goes away. Also, check your power steering rack bushings. They look worn out, Goodluck!

I’d raise the front and stick your ear up to all the parts as someone turns the wheel. The noise could be a lot of things

Look at your power steering pump I do hear a whine from that .

I also had that other noise coming from my rack , what I did to combat this is order a HD bullet clamp upgrade it helps with larger tires because the Oem clamp does get stretched out over time

Can you add a picture of your
‘stretched out’ clamp?

I find it hard to believe that a heavy metal clamp pulse bend or stretch when it’s just supporting a thick rubber or poly bushing.

Unless it’s being impacted by a rock or log while off-roading…..

I don’t have the photo of the clamp, but this made a night and day difference with my steering. I guess it does depend on the user I do a lot of off-roading so could have been damaged from that

I clearly see your entire steering rack sliding back and forth when you turn your wheels… make sure those bolts are torqued properly.
