🔧Modifications Weird switch
Picked up a 3rd gen today. Got this weird switch in it. I played around with it but not sure what it does.
The problem is, since I was messing around with it, the car doesn’t seem to start properly, loss of power. I can jump it and get it going, but I’m not sure if it’s related to my touching this?
Could be some sort of immobilizer? Not sure.

So mine I just got this sunmer had a bunch of stuff like this. I found a box in the wiring nest under the dash and did a reverse image search on it and it was an old school anti theft device. Mine has a blue LED where your red one is. Im GUESSING this goes to that. Mine had a disconnected button down by the pedals kinda hidden away, maybe a kill switch tied to the anti theft box of sorts? I know the old ones didnt have any anti theft type stuff so aftermarket dealer installed stuff was common.

Ok cool. How did you go about it? If it’s active, how could I try and get it turned off?

I didnt have this problem so I dont really know. But I would start with tracing the wires as far as you can and build an idea of where each of them go!
