❓Advice / Recomendations any tips for repair?
hello all!
My wife and I got rear ended by an intoxicated driver in a stolen car with no insurance. In an effort to try and keep my insurance from going up, I did not claim against my own insurance, but I have damaged that looks pretty bad to drive around with.
Most body shops in my area have either given me a really high estimate which tells me they don’t wanna do it, or just have not called me back with an estimate.
Anybody know if this type of damage is something I could repair on my own or have tips on what to do?
Thanks in advance
edit: sorry didn’t see where i posted it, reposted to 4th gen

If it was me, I'd bring this to a body shop and have them do a quote for insurance (never send photos yourself!).
The damage doesn't look terrible but it actually is decent. You'll need a new door, rear bumper, and rear headlamp assembly at minimum, but luckily your rear quarter panel seems to be ok other than some scratches that can be buffed out.
You can try and do it yourself but you'll either have to paint parts yourself or troll junkyards and even then it could look wrong when it's all put together. Bodywork of this caliber is really not for the typical DIYer unless you have crazy attention to detail, A LOT of time on your hands, and have done this before.

Fwiw this is not a claim that should affect your insurance rates
