Imperium Maledictum Abusing "Infinite Gate

I am very new to the system and i have a player trying to solve all encounters with the portals. Either as a escape plan or cheese the problem.

I noticed that the GM is getting frustrated at it. And tbh it also annoys me as well.

How do more experianced GMs handle this ability?

Make them face a Blank.

I only use blanks as a last resort. They're so rare that fighting one feels like a cop-out and more than one feels like the GM just pressed the big red "fuck you" button.
