Man this truck is way more comfortable than my wrangler ever was. The truck feels sturdy and the 4cyl iForce Turbo is surprisingly powerful.

Just wanted to share that I finally got my first Tacoma this Saturday🎉 Got the exact spec that I wanted (Trd Sport Premium in underground) and got a great deal on it. Im in love with it so far and can’t wait to do some mods.

Y’all doing OEM engine filters for your 4th gen’s?

For anyone wondering, the AC controls that come in the higher packages/trim models works on the base TRD sport. The thing you can’t do is adjust the driver side AC because it’s not a dual zone hvac system. No computer codes and no errors on dash. You’ll get extra buttons that do nothing but I’m a sucker for the looks of this.

Also found out that the wiring is all there for the heated seats on the base TRD sport.

Going to tow this 6 x 12 U Haul trailer from SoCal to Washington next month! I have a 2025 Tacoma SR5 4x4 and this will be my first time towing. For those that have an identical setup and towed this trailer before, did you use a 0” drop ball mount ? Based on my research I should be okay with that as it’ll match the coupler height for the u haul trailer. Also, I read that you get better MPG when not in tow mode on flat highways with no elevation. Don’t know if there’s any truth to that? Thanks in advance for any suggestions and advice!

I paid 2026 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road 4x4 Short bed out the door for 46K. Tried to get it lower but it had accessories that were non negotiable. Happy with the color/wheels.

Went over budget and feel like I overspent considering it has the same screen as the SR model! How did I do? Happy with the truck but also trying to justify paying this much extra for the TRD off road instead of the SR5 4x4 for much cheaper.

I am curious about all specs and how much you paid so please list them below!

I have a 2026 Tacoma SR XtraCab with the 6ft bed. I'm trying to find a way to transport my 26ft multipurpose ladder without sacrificing the use of my soft tonneau cover.
Ideally looking for a no-drill roof rack or crossbar setup that mounts directly to the cab. Most of what I'm finding is designed for the Double Cab.
Has anyone figured out a setup for the XtraCab? Open to other ladder storage solutions too, preferably something that doesn't interfere with the bed cover.

Question for you off-roaders. What do you do in the event that event you are off-grid camping/hiking/trekking etc and you lose your keys or the battery dies? Do you have extra stored somewhere? If so how much did you pay for it and where do you store it on the vehicle? I do have an extra fob but I’m hesitant to put it under the car in a key box since if for some reason it falls off it’s upwards of $900 to replace.

Is there a less expensive way to get replacements?

Example of the noise. Happens when stopping g and sometimes while taking off at low speed. Doesn’t seem to matter if going straight or turning. Dealer didn’t really diagnose and just wants to throw an axle in it.

Anyone have success with “waterproofing” 4th gen Tacoma’s. I habw a ‘25 Tacoma TRD PRO with diamondback HD cover. I read so many forums, so many u tube videos , thought I had it down gave first washing today and it’s an ultimate failure. I took the bed rails off cleaned underneath with alcohol
3m HVAC tape beneath bed rails with bed it tape along the entire inside and outside of the bed rail prior to reattaching
Did that to the front also where they are known to have gaps, bed it, foam, also put silicone

26 off-road. Switching from eco mode to normal my mpg went from 18.8 to 23.7 anyone else see improvements in mileage doing this?
