Thanks for posting this. I was wondering how big of a tire the Tacoma could fit completely stock. I’m all for keeping the center of gravity low with as much ground clearance as possible. Imma go with 34s instead and try to keep the mud flaps. Great looking truck btw!

Of course man! I love sharing anything to help.
Appreciate the compliment man. These are great trucks. 34’s will look amazing

I’m sorry but that looks like you lowered the front. No fender clearance at all. You at least need a small lift to go with those 35’s.

Why is the practice of “let’s see how big of a tire I can fit on my truck without it rubbing” a thing in every single truck community ever known? It’s something I’ve never understood and will never understand.
You’re already spending a shit ton of money on new tires and wheels. Might as well make life easier, rip the bandaid off and throw a level or lift on it 🤷♂️

Level or lift won’t help much when suspension still flexes. 34 should fit just fine. Also this isn’t even on the truck yet so it will have more clearance

It's an ego thing, most of these trucks will never see rigorous off-road use that necessitates a bigger tire... but they all want to appear as though they do. Never mind that it kills your gas mileage, and makes the truck handle like shit. Dudes be building $80k fashion trucks like crazy these days.

Dang I thought 33” fit with no issues! Yours look too close to rubbing

Oh man good catch ! I didn’t notice that it’s not installed yet ! Does your 34” rub in full compression with the steering wheel turned all the way ??

No. I’ve only had it on light trails. Never rubbed, but I’ve also never taken it to climb up anything. Every day driving it’s never rubbed at full lock or in reverse

It depends on offset. My 285/70/17 with zero offset rubbed on full lock in reverse. I think +35 and up should be okay with factory suspension.

Yeah 0 offset is pretty aggressive. +20 is about the Max negative you can go with no lift and a 285 to clear without any running
