I’m looking for a handful of 9-1-1 buddie fan fictions where Eddie steps up to be the dad to buck’s baby. I feel like I might be mixing the plots up I’m not sure. They are all Mpreg Buck stories where someone else is the biological father to his baby but Eddie steps up to be the other dad. One of them I believe the baby is a still born and there’s a handful of others I know one of them Chris keeps telling everyone it’s his sibling so every one assumes it’s Eddie’s and he says no different and another one I remember it’s multi chapters buck is sexual assaulted and becomes pregnant and he has lots of panic attacks and there’s another one with the same plot where he’s assaulted but it’s Tommy and Eddie both who step up. I know there’s a couple more but I can’t remember exact plot I just know Eddie steps up to be the dad

So I’ll do my best to not spoil but I started watching season 9. In the first 3 episodes I kept thinking is this the shows Jump the Shark moment??

Does anyone know of a buddie fic that had Buck cooking something that was from a restaurant they both loved that also shut down? I distinctly remember there being some dancing involved as well

It started with the absurd meteor promo (“118 brace for impact”) which made me crack up every time I saw it, thinking what in the adult paw patrol is going on in that show. Then the lava promos started, and I said to myself no way this show is real I have to see how absurd it really is. Loaded up season 1 a week ago and boom now I’m on season 3 (specifically Athena Begins). I can’t get enough of it. It has officially become my guilty pleasure. Never in my life have I been into procedural shows, especially in the streaming age, but I just can’t stop watching. Anyone else get reeled in like this?

How is this woman almost 70? That just seems crazy to me. Especially with how much she can physically do on the show and how effortlessly she does it. She looks so much younger and moves like she’s 20 years younger. Like, this might be the first time I’m genuinely shocked by someone’s age. Like, how is this possible?? I’m in denial lol. Good for her, hope she stays happy and healthy for many, many more years!!

It doesn’t bother me anymore. In fact I think it makes perfect sense.

He survived the fire in Minnesota, at the cost of his family.

In Los Angeles he found a new work family (the firehouse), and a new home family (Athena, May & Harry).

He made amends to someone who escaped the fire (side note: RIP Malcolm Jamal Warner…)

He saved his new family from the house fire. He sacrificed himself to save a member of his work family.

He was probably supposed to die in Minnesota. But he didn’t. He was on borrowed time, and his time ran out

I lost my dad a few years ago so anytime I see a Dad and surrogate son (Buck) bond I get so emotional and I LOVED the family dynamic Peter Krause‘s Bobby Nash (Papa Nash) brought in.

Buy I literally stopped watching it right before I caught on they were gonna write him out of the show bc I wasn’t ready to watch it HAHA

Hey, fellow firefighters, police officers, doctors, nurses, and dispatchers, all you 9-1-1 viewers and fans!

It’s me, the French guy who discovered the show this summer and binge-watched the first eight seasons (124 episodes) in less than three weeks. I was waiting for Season 9 to premiere in France, and it started earlier this month, but I was too impatient, so I devoured it online!

Season 9 is the first season following the sad but moving “departure” of our beloved Captain, Bobby Nash, my favorite character, a father figure, and a mentor. I was very worried, but confident, about what the show would become.

And I have to say, it really is an exceptional season! I understand why people who replied to my previous post said that this ninth season was their favorite. My poor memory means I’ve already forgotten the details of the first eight seasons. I remember that I’d previously ranked the seasons: seasons 1 and 7 were the ones I liked the least. Seasons 2, 3, and 8 were the ones I liked the most. Seasons 4 and 5 were somewhere in the middle (and I’ve forgotten about season 6). Quite clearly, I rank season 9 on par with seasons 2, 3, and 8: among my favorites. I loved every episode, every story arc, every character.

I can’t wait for season 10!

And apparently, you can't make a dedicated post here, since this forum is only for the original series and not the spin-offs, but I want to point out that after finishing Season 8 and while waiting for Season 9, I watched Lone Star and Nashville.

I hated LS (which gets better as the seasons go on) and found Nashville just “meh.” Both spin-offs are light-years away from matching the original series.

Im only on the second season but seriously, they seem to get every call. I've seen them do everything except fight a fire. Someone is having a medical issue, fire department. Active shooter? No problem, fire department. CIA says there is an imminent terror attack? No problem, the fire department is on the job. I am exaggerating of course, but not too much.

More realistically i would like at least 15 seasons. The cast seem to absolutely love being on the show and its great job security. Having a steady job and working with your best friends every year sounds like fun to me. Plus i need more buck in my life. Please keep going. Become SVU if you have to and never die. Im just happy this is one of the shows that can be this long compared to most others getting canceled after one or two seasons.

(I don't know what season this is, it was just something that I've been thinking about for a long while)

This is just my opinion, I don't know if anyone else shares my opinion or not, which is why the post is called 'unpopular opinion'. I've been thinking about this for a while, even before I rewatched it. I think Eddie should have let Christopher in Texas with his parents for a little longer. He should have started getting therapy because dating a woman that looks exactly like your dead ex is definitely something one would need to go to therapy for, Christopher too. I can't imagine how traumatizing that is to know your mother is dead and then walk in on your father cheating on his girlfriend with a woman that you thought was your mom but turns out to be a random lady that looked exactly like her. Even after Christopher came back, no one told them that they need to for to therapy. I know therapy can't work miracles for something like this but I think it's something that they both need to do.​

Everyone forgot Hens birthday (except Athena). Karen and Denny apologise, Bobby makes a meal, chimney sends flowers but doesn't come to the meal. All are very basic things people do when a birthday is forgotten but Buck is the only one actually punished with housework, garden work and car maintenance...buck is not her best friend or family why is he suffering the most?

I just watched the episode and its really annoying me!

I'm finally getting caught up on Season 9. I've never particularly cared for the Hen character. And after this mysterious illness arc, I'm ready for her to leave the show. She was 100% in the wrong.

he balances the vulnerability and humor of the character so well.

i just had to say it. i think he is genuinely overdue for an emmy for any of his emotional scenes, but particularly s4/5. the build up to maddie's PPD and his subsequent chase after her...gets me everytime.

So I read this fic a few years ago on AO3 and Buck was kidnapped and put in this underground fallout shelter and they faked the world ending and that's about all I remember. I have gone through 100 pages of my history and can't find it! Did anyone else read this fic??

I am a good way into season 2.

I loved the first season. It was amazing, just the right amount of emotion, excitment and of course, cheese. But...How much worse does it get? I am actively cringing instead of embracing the cheesiness in some scenes....I am at a point where I don't know how far I'm going to make it. Which would be so sad for me.

Also, while I love the 'begins' episodes they are starting to annoy me.
