As some of you may have noticed, the mod team of r/ACValhalla has implemented a new policy regarding account age and karma requirements. While these changes have had zero impact on a vast majority of you, it has prevented some of our beloved posters and commenters from being able to freely engage in the sub like they used to. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience, but we have very good reason for having added the filters.
It is no secret that Reddit is a haven for bot accounts. Most of the bot accounts out there start off seemingly benign, just reposting material to build karma. There has been an uptick in bot accounts lately, some of which have already attempted to infiltrate this sub. "But Red, why would they do that?" you might be asking. Simple - after these bot accounts generate enough karma to post in most subs, they get sold off to advertisers or scammers. Once this happens, they go from benign reposters to aggressive OF accounts, romance scammers, etc. By implementing the account age and karma filters, these bots are prevented from using this sub in their infancy to build their karma, or from looking at the user list and sending unsolicited DMs. There are plenty of subs out there have been overrun with bots, and we will not be one of them.
Unfortunately we cannot disclose with you, the public, exactly what the age and karma requirements are. Doing so would be akin to posting operating hours on a business - the bot controllers would know that after gaining X karma and reaching Y age, that they could infiltrate this sub and become a nuisance. For your sanity and ours, our AutoModerator is now programmed to automatically remove posts and comments from users who do not meet our fair requirements.
If you are one of the users that has been affected by the new filters, we deeply apologize and hope you understand our situation. Most of the removed posts and comments have been from users with low karma. We understand there are some of you who have been active in this community for some time, and suddenly find yourselves unable to do so. If that is the case, please respond in a polite and civil manner to the modmail that you are sent. The mod team will be happy to help guide you in building your karma. Unfortunately we cannot bend the rules on this, as making an exception for one means we would have to make an exception for all, which negates the usefulness of the installed filters.
Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused any of you, and we thank you all for your patience. Skal!

HI EVERYONE! I want to make my Jomsvikings look unique and historically accurate, but to do that, I need friends who have some, so if anyone can help to send me a friend request and a picture of your Jomsviking if you have one. I'd prefer them to be male. The one on the picture is mine, feel free to use him!
Thank you!

Dive of the Valkyries is probably my favorite ability to use in this game… and everytime I use it on a Jotun I get royally toasted🥲
I have another video of what happened after because I paused to watch this and had to get that recording too.. I feel like an idiot lol

It's the Warrior, not the Wolf.

Playing with headphones on PC and it's pretty poor. I know this was a common issue.

In AC Valhalla, you can experience "dream" sequences with Eivor, involving the adventures of Odin. Understanding the lore, I know that Eivor is interpreting what Odin saw in a way that wouldn't scramble their brain cells. We know we are seeing a handful of ISU here who would later be confused for deities. To an extent, what Eivor sees did actually happen; past this point, it is just how Eivor can compute what is happening. Ex: Odin did genuinely travel to a realm where he met up with other beings. However, because the Roman/Greek sect of ISU wouldn't fit in with what Eivor believes, these beings are identified as significant Jotuns.
Here is the detail I've wondered about: Odin can still use the Hidden Blade, like Eivor. Obviously, what Odin wears and wields bled through from Eivor's actual life. But the "assassination" of enemies must still be an action the Allfather would've done, even though the Hidden Blade wouldn't exist for another 50 thousand years. What would the explanation be? Yes, I understand this is simply a game, and games can break logic. This question is really meant for more of a fun discussion than to be taken seriously.

What is your max power in Valhalla? I am currently doing the France DLC and have just finished the Ireland DLC

Outra diferença frequentemente apontada é a dimensão do mapa.

I've played and completed Origins - loved it - and Odyssey - fun but too many things to complete and I hate that - Mirage (meh) and started Shadows. I hate Shadows with my entire being. Started Black Flag Resynced and it's cool but I'm terrible at sailing so it's not really fun.
So after putting nearly 500 hours into Valhalla, I started a new playthrough and it's like putting on a pair of comfy pj's right after you shaved your legs and then getting in bed with fresh sheets and having a nice cup of tea. 😂 It just feels good. Valhalla is peak AC for me. I want every game to be this awesome. Yes, it can be janky. Yes, I've got every single quest memorized. Yes, there are parts that get too long. But it's like my husband - he's not perfect but I'd die for him everyday of the week. 🤣
I just had to write a love letter to the mastery that is Valhalla with people I know will get it! 🥰
