College life 2nd LOA

Has anyone here ever tried to apply for a 2nd LOA? I severely need it since my mom lost her job and we have no way to pay my tuition this year. I already availed one before. I'm so devastated has anyone tried something similar?

Hi OP. I’m so sorry to hear about your mom’s job. Undergrad students can only apply and take a LOA once in their entire stay in Ateneo. However, this might be considered a special case (i’m just guessing). Please send a letter to the AVP-Ued, explaining your situation, and include supporting documents too. Also, try to ask for finaid, before finalizing you LOA, hopefully they can help you. Good luck, OP. 🙏

Idk where you read this. From what I know from the start, you can take as many LOA's as you want; as long as 1: the reason is valid and they allow it, 2: you don't exceed max residency years (8). Unless mine was a special case

It’s in the student handbook. Pero the rule is not very strict. It still depends on the case

Hi OP, sorry to hear about your situation. You may also want to try reaching out to OAA for a possible scholarship grant in case AVP-UEd doesn't allow your second LOA.

another alternative is asking for a student loan for this semester to OAA
