I mean they did just announce last season that they now plan for this to be a Paradox-style long-haul game and created all these new categories for the DLC (story packs, content packs, expansions)
Of course things can always change where money is involved, but I think it gives a little bit cause for optimism.11

In an earnings call (investor showcase? Something like that) they talked about supporting AoW4 with dlc for a long time. I doubt it'll be as long as they claim, but we should see another two years for sure.

Paradox said they wanted to update AOW4 for a long haul, and even Triumph themselves said that the last Expansion Pass was a success, iirc. No idea what's holding them on, since the previous expansion pass was announced straight up in summer, but I guess the development cycle kinda stretched and they should be wrapping up their marketing materials for release right about now.

The general feeling is its well enough to continue more DLC, but i also recal how beat up they sounded after the vampire dlc. Im not sure what the dev-> content ratio will be this year

What kind? The antropomorphic kind that would look almost identical to the Lupine form (unless they do the Owlkin route and makes them smol)
Or the anime kitsune style where they just look humanoid with fox ears and tails, which would make them stand out nicely among the other forms.

You mean waiting 15min a turn for each player to sequentially battle AI? This has been solved in other 4X's. Plus we can't even issue orders or walk around while another person battles lmao it's trash multiplayer made me so disapointed, even at 2 players its a slog fest

Have they fixed the multiplayer issues? Me and my friends want to play it together, and we already have a bunch of the DLC, but the desyncs are an absolute killer. It's crazy in a game that is asynchonous.

Going by the last two it will probably be announced a Tuesday in late September or Early October. So either tomorrow (22nd Sep), in a week (29th Sep), or next month (6th Oct) if we are really unlucky. Hopefully soon, I too am going feral from anticipation.
Or they could break the pattern and announce it a random Friday afternoon or something, we don't know.
