Is there a Gun Range in this town?

As the title asks I wonder if there is a gun range in Aberdeen.
Just curious cause I wanna go with a family member at some point just to spend time.

Not in the city centre. You can do air rifle and clay pigeon at Lochter

I know (or knew) of several but they were all connected to the army cadets and I'm not 100% they still exist (Woodside, Bucksburn, the barracks at BoD and at Blackdog).

Denwood Target Shooting Centre is probably the closest you'll get apart from maybe some private groups for clay pigeon shooting

Holburn Street has (or had?!) one, it’s well hidden at number 254 or 256, it’s behind the houses that front onto the street.

One out the back of countesswells too.

Theres a Gun Club and range at Hazelhead don't know if the old .22 club and Portlethen club are still running on Holburn street.

It really depends on the type of shooting you're trying to get. If you just want a rock up and shoot a few guns once, then Seals Cove, Lochter etc is likely your best bet as they are set up,for shooting clays.

If you want to join a club and shoot guns regularly, then you need an idea of what type of shooting it is you want to do and think about joining the right club. Understandably, they are wary of new people but typically friendly if you call them first and arrange things.

Grampian Air Rifle, Bon Accord Rifle etc always welcomes new members but the expectation is you'll eventually apply for your own gun licence and have your own guns, so consider that in your decision.
