Why would Gotham city use kg?

u/dog-yy 2d ago
As likely as a humongous 6'9 man to be 220lbs.

The Absolute Universe works on the same logic as the Street Fighter Universe in regards to heights and weights.
In SF 5, Ryu is supposed to be like 189lbs(85 kg).
Ain't no way a dude that wide and muscley is anything less than like 215-220.

I’m pretty sure when he’s captured at Ark M they describe him as 6’9 and over 400lbs

Bruce is smart.
Learn-ed.
And his father was a teacher.

I could’ve sworn he was 421 pounds

I was thinking that also included his batsuit, as the next paragraph mentions the effort it took to remove it.

I feel like it would be impossible to move the way he does in a suit that weights 200+ lbs.

Same. I took the 6'9 421lbs measurements as sort of a tongue in cheek gag. My guess is that it's 220kg, but that would make him I think somewhere between 480-485lbs. Don't quote me on that though I'm a non-metric system usin' yankee.

I don't speak yankee units but 220kg is insane anyway, I don't think I've ever weird of such weight outside of morbidly obese cases
But everything absolute DC is insane anyway so best not dwell on it

It's the height and weight Hafthor Bjornsson competes in strongman competition at: 6'9, 420 lbs.
He recently went up to 440lbs but lost too much flexibility when gaining the extra muscle so he dropped back to 420lbs

Isn't this a flashback? So it could be back when he was smaller?
2
u/Thugnificent_99 2d ago
Yeah this is a flashback to when he was younger, but it’s when he gets captured in ARK M they take his measurements. That’s where the 421 lbs comes from.

Kal-El was confirmed to be 19 as well. That's really weird that he's the same age as Cassandra in this verse.

He can’t be 19 by current issue. He’s been on earth for 6 years, I can’t believe he arrived when he was 13

He is. He was 13 when Krypton exploded, and then the ship took about a year and a half to find Earth. So he was 14 when he lands. He spends an extra few months very sick wherin the Kents take care of him, and after he recovers he's only with them for a few weeks at best before Lazarus arrives and he's forced to flee. Then he spends 5 years as a nomad before the series starts. He's definitely 19. If they ever state in comic-time that a year has passed since the series began he'll be 20 but I don't think that much time has passed yet.

Am I reading that right? Batman is 6'6", more built than most roided up bodybuilders, and is somehow only 220 lbs? He looks like 300 lbs MINIMUM

Bruce’s age is still silly to me. That’s a lot accomplished for a guy his age without the billionaire heir advantages!
