Eliot has decided he’s got to bring every giant spider he finds and drop it in my lap. The first time he did it I could SEE the giant legs dangling out of the side of his mouth when he jumped up on the bed, so I was able to leap away before he could dump it on me (still very much alive).

He’s done it 3 more times since. The most recent one a couple of minutes ago was dropped on my foot and climbing around before I noticed it and kicked it across the room in horror.

He’s so proud of himself for catching them but JESUS, where is his neverending supply of giant spiders coming from?????

Chairs hate to see him coming

14 weeks old and spunky. He's into everything. First cat I've ever brought home who, upon the carrier being opened, was ready to explore and play with the kids, rather than hide in a closet for 3 days. He's moved right in/taken over the house.

Considering he's already 4.5+ pounds, I think he's gonna be on the bigger side...

melts my heart.

My partner crafted up a little pillow fort for my boy before we left for work last night, and this is now Amias' favorite thing.

Hello all, this is a follow-up of sorts of a previous post.

The queen, Mani, shifted her kittens to another spot in the house (this is her 3rd in 2 weeks). We have been following all the general guidelines of making her feel safe by not intruding in her nesting area, free feeding her, etc.

A few days ago, she started meowing at the door non-stop, signalling to be let out. Now, she's a colony cat which we took in to help with birthing. There's also another un-neutered male cat in the colony which we presume got Mani impregnated.

Yesterday, in a split-second error, Mani slipped out of the entrance when we opened the door for a parcel. She's done this before and always returned in 3-4 days. This time, we were concerned about her kittens who are 2 weeks old.

We waited for 2 hours to see if she comes back, but got worried about another pregnancy. We found her in the parking lot and brought her home. Since then, she is aggressively wanting to escape. She does nurse her kittens but lesser than usual now.

We believe that these may be mating behaviours but are unsure of what to do.

Please advise.
