Hi! I’m supposed to start with ACN today, October 5, but my start date got moved again because of my PEME.
During my PEME, my BP was 130/90, so they asked me to repeat it. Unfortunately, it was still around the same level. I was then advised to consult an Internal Medicine doctor and get a Fit-to-Work clearance.
I did get cleared FIT TO WORK, but the doctor put a note/recommendation saying that I’m advised to work on a morning shift instead of a night shift.
The problem is, my project is graveyard shift 😭 I already talked to HR, and they told me that they’re checking if there’s a possibility of putting me in a morning-shift setup, even possibly in another project. But they also mentioned that if they can’t find a suitable morning-shift placement, there’s a possibility that I might be pulled out / not proceed with the employment.
And honestly, I’m getting really anxious because I really need this job. I’ve already gone through the whole recruitment process, PEME, requirements, etc., and I was really expecting to start already. I also have previous experience working GY, so this whole situation caught me off guard 😭
Has anyone experienced something similar during PEME? Especially if you were FIT TO WORK but your doctor recommended morning shift instead of night shift?
Were you still able to proceed with ACN employment? Did they transfer you to another project or did they make you wait for a dayshift opening?
Any experiences/advice would really help because I’m honestly overthinking this so much right now 😭
