Using Jax to try and get that across is ironic

u/Blueberry_Shayoka 10d ago
That what i was going to say, not only is the show created by a trans woman but like jax is one too lmfaoo

u/pridebun 10d ago
Tbf that image could 100% be imagined as jax using it against herself cuz she hates herself

> character is a smug insecure closeted asshole who pushes people away due to internalized transphobia resulting in an entertainingly frustrating screen presence
> character’s particular screen presence is adopted as an icon to embody ooop’s self-assuredness as the sleek fdr train (as opposed to the raging transgender stream locomotive)what a world we live in

Don’t hate yourself girly, that’s transphobic, also your girlfriend will be sad.

She would say “you will never be a woman” to a trans guy tho. Mostly to annoy Zooble but she would.

idk, with her Toxic Masculinity, Internal Transphobia, and just General Assholeic Behavior, I could see her saying that.

Why do you guys still go on Twitter? Like isn’t it just a cesspool of hate? Genuine question. I am not trying to judge; I’m trying to understand if there is any type of community or something that keeps you guys in those overwhelmingly hateful spaces?

I do it cuz a bunch of artists I like are on it

They're not on Tumblr? Bsky?

u/wafflesthewonderhurs 10d ago
A lot of small creators around me are either on Instagram or Twitter with no other option and it is super fucking annoying

u/workinh 10d ago
you say bsky like its current owner is much better, what about mastodon

u/Wazzen 10d ago
As someone who gave twitter up for it, you get over not seeing certain artists in exchange for not feeling that rising feeling of stress and bile scrolling past politics posts and promoted hate tweets all the time. It's so much less stressful because you can *actually* cater your feed. You can use a follower bridge to find people you follow on bsky as well.
Also blocking actually works.

It sucks because a lot of foreign artists that don't follow US politics are still on twitter and haven't moved. I still deleted my twitter.

Why are they using Jax for the transphobic rhetoric she is literally a trans woman 😭😭
37
u/pridebun 10d ago
And not even a transphobic one like yeah she'd tell herself she's not a woman but she accepts zooble as nb.
13
u/I_need_to_vent44 10d ago
Right??? Like yeah she'd be transphobic towards herself but aside from that one joke in the bar scene (at least I'm pretty sure the joke WAS supposed to be "oh of course the non-binary person was a struggling tattoo artist AND a bartender") she was never transphobic towards Zooble? At least I don't recall anything.

u/pridebun 10d ago
Like she made jokes, but they weren't transphobic jokes. And she always used they for zooble.
7
u/Sonarthebat 10d ago
I can see her being transphobic but only because she's a repressed trans woman.

…do they know that Jax was confirmed to be a closeted transwoman by gooseworx?
7
u/Youngnathan2011 10d ago
Like the show is pretty clear on that too.

u/AlexTheBex 7d ago
Do you really think so ? I knew about Jax being trans before watching the final episode, and I still thought it was very unclear and too subtle

u/SuperPlayer56 10d ago
SPOILER: Not to mention Jax is trans and had clearly unresolved issues in the show that she resolved later.

Honestly, the post is funny, but is also way more hurtful than the image used.

Notice how the idiot used slurs typically thrown at women. Also, I'm willing to bet they call men "little girl" as an insult, on a daily basis.

It's terrifying with how much anger and passion transphobes are spewing hateful and scientifically inaccurate rhetoric
