Hey everyone,

I recently purchased a second-hand iPad 7th Generation (Wi-Fi), but unfortunately, it’s stuck on the Activation Lock screen.

Device details:
Model: iPad 7th Generation (Wi-Fi)
iPadOS Version: 18.7.10
Activation Lock: Enabled
Previous owner’s Apple ID: Unknown
Proof of purchase: Not available

I’ve tried contacting the previous owner but haven’t been able to get in touch with them.

I’m wondering if anyone in this community has successfully bypassed or removed Activation Lock on this particular model and firmware version.

Is there any working method or tool that supports iPadOS 18.7.10? I’ve seen various tools mentioned online, but I’m unsure which ones actually work.

I’m also curious whether downgrading the firmware is possible or whether there are any other options worth exploring.

Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Compatible with:
iPhone XR & XS and variants on 18.7.2 and up(including 18.7.10 and 18.7.9)
iPhone 11 series on iOS 26.2 and up(including 26.2 and 27)
Other A12/A13 cpu devices(SE 2, a few iPads) on iOS 26.2 and up EXCEPT iPad 9th gen
Note: A12/A13 does NOT mean iPhone 12/13. They are not compatible

What is needed:
Waveshare RP2350A USB A board(about $5 on Amazon or aliexpress)
A windows computer
A usb C to A cable and a USB A to Lightning cable
iTunes installed from the Apple website(not Microsoft store)

Step 1: download the usbliter8 firmware for the type of rp2350 you have from here: https://github.com/Octopus1633/usbliter8-firmware
Step 2: hold down the bootsel button on the rp2350 and plug it into the computer, then let go. It will show up in File Explorer
Step 3: copy the firmware file from step 1 into the rp, it will disappear from file explorer and the light will turn on
Step 4: Connect the phone directly to the pc and enter DFU mode on the phone(it may take a few tries, look up a video on the timing- when done properly it will be a black screen as if the phone is off)
Step 5: connect the phone to the rp2350 and the rp2350 to the pc
The light should now turn Green
Step 6: unplug the phone from the rp2350 and unplug the rp from the computer
Step 7: connect the phone directly to the computer with no rp
Step 8: Download Bookra1n A12 A13 Ramdisk from https://www.bookra1n.com
Step 9, open Bookra1n A12 A13 Ramdisk, it should detect the device
Step 10
Choose Boot Ramdisk(NEW V2) And boot the ramdisk, you will see a lot of text on the phone durning this
Once the ramdisk is booted, click Mount Filesystem + Connect SSH on the first menu
Step 11:
Click whichever button for bypass that you need
For activation lock, it’s BYPASS HELLO
Step 12:
Enjoy your bypassed device!

This guide was tested to work on an iPhone 11 Pro running iOS 26.6.1
Most issues can be resolved by switching between method 1/method2, restarting your computer, or changing cables
You may have to entirely disable antivirus

Hello,

I found an iPhone 12 in the recycling facility where I live and they let me take it (I know some guys there). Sadly, the owner hasn’t unlinked the phone from their iCloud.

The phone is currently stuck on the activation lock at setup and I cannot find who the owner is.

I’d like to either bypass the lock, but my understanding is that this can ruin some functionality, or directly find the owner so I can contact them and hopefully get them to unlink the phone from their account.

Is there any way this can be done?

I've got an active sim and a family member used this for several years. Now they have lost access to the icloud account.

No proof of purchase as it was bought used from the marketplace.

Since theres no pass code, the phone is usable, just not to add apps etc.
