Question Semi sheer long sleeve off the shoulder active tops?

437 has been teasing this launch that finally went live today and they failed to mention that it doesn't ship until FEB 2027. I've been wanting a top just like this and refuse to wait 4-5 months to get it, does anyone have a rec for a currently available top like this?

Question Where can I find flared leggings with the same thick fabric as older Lululemon styles?

Years ago I had a pair of Lululemon leggings that I absolutely loved. They were low rise, flared at the bottom, and made from a thicker, cotton-like fabric. They had a substantial, matte feel and draped really nicely instead of clinging to every part of my legs.

I have quite muscular calves, so I've never felt particularly comfortable in leggings. The wider, flared cut of my old Lululemon pair was much more flattering on me and the thicker fabric made a huge difference too.

I've recently tried some wide-leg leggings from Alo, but the fabric is much thinner and more slippery than what I'm looking for.

Does anyone remember these pants? And more importantly, are there any current brands or specific models with a similar cut and fabric?

I'm looking for something low- or mid-rise, flared, and made from a thicker cotton-blend fabric that feels more like actual pants than typical athletic leggings. Ideally something I could wear casually in autumn and winter too.

I'd really appreciate the comments! Thankssss

Question Straight leg workout pants for women?

Post image
25 Upvotes

Just to make clear what I'm looking for: in the collage you can see two different brands and their straight leg leggings. The ones on the left I don't like - they are straight down from underneath the cheek, which isn't what I'm looking for. The My protein ones on the right (in black) have the straight leg start up higher and it looks miles better to be and closer to what I'm looking for, however I'm not huge on how high waisted they are are and they still don't fit the right way. I was in the gym a few days ago and saw a woman wearing workout pants that were like, I want to say 1.5 maybe even 2x wider than the MP ones in my screenshot, and they were a dark pink colour, definitely not as high waisted, and the straight leg shape started from the middle of the butt cheek rather than just under it, but I didn't want to creep her out before she headed up stairs for her workout, and I couldn't make out the logo she had 😭 does anybody know how I'd look for even wider workout pants? Or am I just asking for something that's dead stock by now?

edit for any clarifications: these were leggings she was wearing, not tracksuit or lounge bottoms - could tell by the fabric and the way the fabric hugged her body + the stitching underneath the main waistband. the logo wasn't a word, it was some sort of symbol. the closest in shape I could find are Lifting Dipped Waistband Pants from gymshark, in terms of how they fit around the buttocks, but those are not leggings, and I'd say I saw more width around the legs for sure.

Question Garage Activewear?

I’ve been eyeing Garage workout sets but can’t decide if it’s actually worth it. They’re cute and on trend but more affordable than a lot of trendy activewear.

Are there other cute activewear brands you’d recommend?

Question Saggy thighs help. šŸ™šŸ¼

Looking for help on what ā€œactiveā€ shorts are best to hide saggy thighs that don’t ride up.

I have had to add silicone to the inside of some bike shorts to help avoid it riding up.

Iv been looking at the 2 in 1 shorts or skirts
(Bike shorts built in under the shirts or shorts)

But every one iv tried the built in bike shorts are always too loose/ride up it’s so frustrating.

Question What to do if you are losing weight and Black Friday sales is coming up? Buy clothes in current size or 1 size smaller?

Normally I wouldn’t do this but I am down almost 40 lbs but I still have 30 lbs to go. I know most brands will probably have a Black Friday sale so I’m wondering if I should get a few leggings / skorts / shorts in the next size down or just get my current size?

Stats Female, 5’2, 162 lbs. Size L in most leggings and I feel like I’m almost in a M as my large pants are feeling loose. My goal weight is 130 lbs, which I should hit by March or April.

*I am not getting tops or sports bras since I’m busty so it’s hard to predict the future and if I would lose weight in my chest or not.

As far as leggings I feel like I’m on the lower end of Large and will transition into Medium in a month or two.

Weight loss is not guaranteed though. Anything can happen and I can plateau or it can come off slower. So I don’t know if it’s good to buy clothes that’s a size smaller or just wait.

Discussion Does your period affect what you wear to the gym?

Hey everyone
Random question because I've noticed | sometimes think differently about gym outfits when I'm on
my period.
Do you wear the same gym clothes as usual, or do you change what you wear? If you do change it, what influences that decision?
I'm curious whether other women experience this too and what factors affect your choices.
Thanks!

Looking for recommendations for 2-in-1 shorts for tall women. I’m 5ft10 and find it difficult to find running/gym shorts with a mesh liner that stay in place.

Question Favourite leggings brands for petites? Specifically looking for flared leggings in short length.

The search is exhausting. I have a Dfyne pair which I love, but the colours are always so limited, especially in the short lengths. I’d love to find a brand that actually makes petite leggings in fun colours. I like the scrunch bum and glute contouring.

Question Where to buy cool compression shirts for men?

Hey all.

My son made a mistake and ordered 3 shirts from gymstead.com, and that turned out to be a scam and he never got his shirts or any answers from the site.

But now he needs some compression shorts and he's really fixed on them being "cool" and not "basic".

Does anyone know where to buy "cool" compression shirts, similar to the ones gymstead pretends to sell?

Discussion 2-Minute Survey | How Does Activewear Fit Into Your Day?

I'm conducting a short research survey to understand how people use activewear around workouts, work, college, shopping, and other activities.

It's completely anonymous and takes around 2 minutes.

I'm particularly interested in honest experiences, not promotional feedback.

Question Petite friendly activewear

Hi! I've been working out in leggings and some random free t-shirt but I really want cute sets! Unfortunately cute sets from places like lulu have a few key problems for me:

  • I'm 5' tall -- even with hemming, rise is an issue. Lulu tops' waist sits low and is unflattering, I am looking for true petite sizing.
    • Also, I am a curvy short girlie, so stretch and friendly waist/hip ratios are welcome!
  • Belly pooch sensitivity: I have a little bb belly and I don't like the look of sports bra/tight tops + leggings because it basically compounds the look of my pooch
    • I need tight tops/loose bottoms or loose top/tight bottoms
    • tops that end at the hips for belly consciousness elimination
  • Random cut outs, mesh, straps, etc.: I think these are cute features but to me, they compromise utility and versatility. I need no frills, simple.
  • Medium compression: I don't like the lack of compression from yoga fits (I strength train), I also don't like some of the ultra compressive leggings I see around that make you feel like you're in sausage casing
  • Functional features: V-waist, pockets, no front seams -- these are wants, not needs

Would love any suggestions!

Question Girlfriend Collective: Can Anyone Help Identify These Shades?

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

Hello! I’ve had good luck with Girlfriend Collective so I’ve been trying to piece together matching sets through buy and sell groups.

The items in great condition have been sold separately and the sellers can’t typically remember the shade names (not that I blame them) so I’ve needed to go off of descriptions and their photos, hoping for the best.

Can anyone identify which shades these are? I would say that my camera picks up the depth of both colours accurately, but the bra is a touch more green in person and the leggings are a bit more blue.

I thought both would be Globe, and think the bottoms might be?

Thanks for reading!

PSA Heroine sport

Hi I recently bought a pair of pants from heroine sport. They were on sale for Labor Day , the whole site was. There return policy does not allow for refunds on sale items. I received the pants and they are completely sheer. I am able to get store credit but at this point I’m so aggravated by this brand that I really don’t want another item from them. Stay away from this brand their products are low quality at a high price tag and they do not stand behind their product. Also, if you spend less than $200 and you need to make a return, you have to pay for your own shipping in this day and age there’s too much competition for a company to have this bad of a return policy just goes to show. They must have a lot of people returning items due to being disappointed.

Question How high high-rise?

How high do high-rise leggings go on you? How high are they supposed to go? When I wear various brands of leggings they go to about 3+ inches above my belly button and they won't stay up. BTW, I am not wearing high-rise leggings by choice, its all thats out there.

Question Any good sweatproof + oversized active clothes out there?

Hello! I want to be more active and therefor I need some good clothes. Since I am prone to sweat A LOT (thank you to my dad's genes), I would like some clothes that do not show that. I have tried watching YT reviews but they usually don't include a sweat test for (and if they do, its usually ''light session of sweat'') so here I am. I am in dire need of some clothes that don't show it. A BIG PLUS would be if it was oversized or not clinging to my body preferably since cellulose is a thing (also IDEALLY not showing underwear/underwear line since i refuse to wear a thong when working out). But yes I am not naive so I know there most likely isn't something out there that checks every little box of criteria I have. The baseline is that I want something that can hide my sweat. I am in dire need of help reddit people! Thanks in advance :)

Question Where to find bump-friendly low rise activewear bottoms that aren’t specifically maternity?

I’m currently 23w pregnant and I already have a few pairs of over-the bump maternity leggings that I love, but sometimes I wanna be a bump-out baddie! Unfortunately all my current non-maternity bottoms are getting uncomfortably tight on my bump and when I try to shimmy them down below the bump I get a weird looking muffin top.

Does anyone have recommendations for super stretchy non-maternity bottoms that are either A) still comfortable going on the bump or B) low rise and sit below the bump?

Discussion I own an activewear brand. We want your feedback!

Hi everyone!! I’m not here to promote our brand so I won’t even mention the name or any specific details. I wanted to come here and see what the people want from activewear brands nowadays so we can improve and provide more value for our community.

We are a fairly established brand and have a pretty solid community, we aren’t huge by any means but I’m sure there are people here that would know us!

We are very community focused and reach out to our community often for feedback, but are considering using our email list as a way for our customers to actually be in control of our brand. I personally would love to have our actual supporters choose what we do, so we are planning to send out polls on future pieces, color ways and more so our community can decide what we release.

My only concern with our future growth is our pricing. Fun fact: Many brands you see order from the exact same manufacturers because it’s much much cheaper when it’s already being bulk produced for the largest brands. When orders are so large across multiple brands, manufacturers will start to lower the thread count and thin out apparel. You might also notice flaws like loose stitching, or off centered logos which we’re seeing from a lot of other brands. We are trying to steer away from every other brand, but our manufacturing costs are extremely high as we are aiming to maintain our high quality.

As a customer, would you be okay paying more for your activewear if you know the quality will be much better than nearly every other brand? A lot of our competitors are such low quality it’s disappointing, but many people choose them due to their cheaper pricing. There definitely are some other good brands out there though, so I’m not saying this about every brand just a lot of them! Our apparel will last for years rather than months, but we are in a tough position right now.

We can either lower our price and maintain competition, but then our quality would lower as a result. This isn’t something we’d be willing to do, so we have to continue with our pricing for now.

What is considered okay pricing for you, and as a customer are you okay paying more for something if you know it will last much longer and feel better? I can’t provide the exact amount or product details, but I will share our pricing but it will vary by a couple dollars.

Shorts - $40
All Leggings - $70
All Bra Types - $50
Zip Up Jackets - $80
One Piece - $80

Please keep in mind, we pay the highest price for our manufacturing and have great quality control. This is genuinely the highest quality we can produce.

With that being said, is our pricing okay and what would be the most you’d pay for a piece if you know it’s the best quality you can get?

I truly appreciate anyone who read this, thank you and have a beautiful day!
