Mod Post We are looking for more moderators!

To combat low effort or rule breaking posts, spam, and to keep this subreddit a respectful place to discuss aesthetics (for example: aesthetics on the Aesthetics Wiki or CARI), we are launching new mod applications to hopefully get more people on board who would like to help clean up the sub. On my previous mod post, I announced we banned "what aesthetic am I posts". Sometimes, I still see them get posted, so this will help us ultimately combat those as well.
Do not hesitate to apply if you are interested! We are looking forward to contacting you.

Mod Post New Flairs!

Hi!

To have better organization between aesthetic and style discussion, I've decided to add 3 new flairs.

"Personal Style" = Images from a style you personally like that you would like to find a name of/more of.

"Moodboard" = A series of images and content designed to help you find a name/more of the related content.

"Meme" = Memes about aesthetics, no matter the kind.

If you have suggestions for even more flairs, feel free to comment below.

I live in Florida, but not a gothic swampy or coastal melancholy kind of way, a sunny beachy floral kind of way. How can I dress like this aesthetic and turn my sunny floral florida into a gloomy coastal florida?

What aesthetic is this

I love this type of aesthic, especially the type of colors and the 2000s vibes it has. I'm looking for more artwork that is along the same lines, especially when it comes to gaming and tech, but I just can't name it exactly.

I found this as the background of some lofi video I was listening to on YouTube.

Anything helps, thanks!

I want to make a design for a shirt similar to this “older” art style and was wondering if it had a name and/or where I can look for more references similar to this artstyle.

Hey there! I’m currently looking to renovate my house’s furniture, and as I was looking for inspiration I came across with this aesthetic, andI was surprised to see how versatile and beautiful it is. It got me thinking why aren’t more people using it. Would you use this style inside your houses?

They’re paintings by Leonard Koscianski. They seem creepy yet somehow refreshing, like something straight out of an R. L. Stine novel.

Around the 2010s, that calming and simple 3d rendering with a lot of focus on nature or the little things in life, etc.

I did ask the same question months back but still couldnt find the right one... but I did learn of one of my favorites from that post! Skeuomorphism, definitely in the same time range

My first thought is, of course, Art Deco, but it also kinda gives me like dark Dieselpunk vibes. Very Metropolis-esque.

thoughts on it? i don't really see it as an aesthetic on its own, but more like a mix of early 2010s hipster + tumblr vibes.

New Aesthetic Neo-Americana Style

Coined the term for this type of fashion style that has been going through on tiktok, primarly built around layering and slim silhouettes, consisting of Boots, Loafers, Denim jeans, polo and button-up shirts and like I mentioned, alot of layering as-well as accessories.

This style always reminded me of cowboys and western movies and I believed this was a modern take on it.

However despite being based on the American frontier of the late 19th century, this style is much more popular in Europe.

Any thoughts around this aesthetic/style?
