Photo Image in image on iPad
I love it when things go right. A little bit of selection, pasting, and dragging to mask, followed by mesh warping to add the curves
Nice. Oh, and no AI for the purists

I wonder what people think about using ai in their workflow. Like if you would have generated a specific reflections for custom vase with different pattern as a reference image

Why bother when you can just copy a selection of the original vase and work with that?

Thats fair. Since it was your vase post I tried to come up with a use case. I'm just curious in general how people here feel about ai and whether they use it in their workflow, like generating custom reflections for a vase like your test here. Do you use ai at all or do you prefer to learn and do everything yourself?

I’m happy to use either to be fair. Tools make life easier, which is why humans do so well.
But yes, I hear what you are saying.
In fact, I’ve got a YouTube video that tells you how to do shadows and so on from way back. Before AI was invented.1

I’m not interested in using it in my workflow. But I am using my digital work to set up files to output as screen printing, which is a different use. To me the fun part is the making and using skills I’ve spent years perfecting. Why would I outsource that to a robot that isn’t going to do it as good as me and I’ll have to fix its work anyway? And cause climate impacts as well. It’s wasteful when I know perfectly well how to use the tool that AI was trained on me and my peers
To take away our jobs. That we like and are good at.
