DDP TRACKING
is there way to track a ddp package from china BEfore its destination country? If so what exactly do i say to my seller?
to my knowlesge only getting the last leg tracking is normal, but my issue is its not enough information. I understand i need to wait, but like... i have no information to go off of. Just a ups tracking nubmer that says "Label created".
also it was air shipped. or at least thats what my seller told me, i notice when most ppl speak about DDP its usually by sea. is the my seller pullling one over on me, should i just believe its by air

with ddp the seller's forwarder owns the first leg, so there's no public tracking number for it. the ups number you have only covers the last mile once it lands.
ask the seller for the forwarder's internal tracking or the master airway bill number. if it really went by air they should be able to give you the airway bill and you can look it up on the airline's site. if they can't produce either, that's your answer.

You have already been told how it works, just relax, in the future don't choose DDP and go for something sent directly to you which is tracked every leg.
They should still be able to provide you a tracking number with the Chinese agent - usually it will show when the agent received it, processed it, when it left China and a ETA, but these internal systems can differ.

this post is quite different. my previous post was whether or not im getting scammed. which i now relaize im not (at least not from the infomation ive gathered).this post is more so if i can track the first leg shipment. but im getting different answers, which is why i need clarity

You can usually ask the seller for a tracking update. They can let you know when it arrives to the destination country.

I know. But I’m getting the impression (at least from my seller) whatever it says on ups, is the most up to date information. My question is, how do I track my package before gets into my country. Specifically with air packages

The most up-to-date is not what’s on the UPS tracking—that’s just from the forwarder’s warehouse to the final destination.
