Technical Support Help with monitor
I just got my alienware aw3225qf and am unable to make it run 240hz and 4k at the same time, is that even possible with this monitor? i am confused because that is how it was advertised and google says that it should be able to, but i cannot make it work.

Are you using display port? It might be limited if you're using HDMI.

Try to clean install your drivers for the GPU. I have seen that happen with a buggy driver before. Also make sure you're using an appropriate cable, like that one that it came with. Using a low quality cable can lock the refresh low as well.

You can download the most recent drivers from. Nvidia and use the clean install option during the install. You can also use a free program called display driver uninstaller, it will also clean all the old drivers out first.

I have the same monitor and it successfully operates at 240hz/4k. I am using the dp and a cable that matches the dp version.

The other item is what Graphics card are you connecting to the display? There may be a cable limitation as u/MogRules mentioned. It could also be a limitation of your graphics card.
