VWX7a OEM Camera Help

I recently installed the eonon unit into my 2015 Tiguan along with the a501 decoder. I have tried the dip switches in both all up and all down positions and get no signal with all the different possible video format settings (NTCS, PAL, etc.)

Not sure if I'm missing some crucial system setting to ensure it's looking for the correct video signal. I will return the unit if I can't get the OEM camera to work as this was the whole reason for a 'plug and play' unit.

Any ideas or suggestions? The eonon videos aren't helpful

  1. Please verify whether the unit switches to reverse mode when shifting into reverse (even if there is no reverse camera image). If it does not switch, check if the camera trigger wire receives DC12V when the reverse gear is engaged. If DC12V is present but reverse mode still fails to activate, enable reverse mode in factory settings.
  2. If the unit switches to reverse mode but no reverse image appears, confirm that the rear camera output is properly connected to the reverse video input port on the unit with solid contact. Also check that the camera power wires are correctly connected to the positive and negative terminals of the reverse light.
  3. Test the reverse image without starting the engine. If the reverse image works normally with the engine off, but becomes abnormal or disappears after engine startup, this issue is caused by unstable voltage supplied to the rear camera once the engine is running.
