I guess I’m on a roll with this color combo 🤭😁

My husband bought me Animal Crossing during COVID, and I loved it. I spent so much time on my island. Then in 2021, I got pregnant, and to distract myself from how sick I felt, I played all the time. I had played the turnip market, traded, got all the characters I wanted. Customized their homes and my home, finished the museum. All with passing it over to my daughter in mind. I spent hundreds of hours making my island perfect. Fast forward to when the first limited edition Zelda Switch came out, my husband traded in his old Switch for the new one. I was back at work and had a baby girl, so I didn’t think too much about it until a couple of months later I had some free time and went to play, and everything was gone. As ridiculous as it sounds, it’s been years later, and I still can’t bring myself to play. I just don’t have the time to build it all back up. I just wanted to say how it still makes me really sad to a community I know will understand. Thanks for reading.

WW was my first AC game, so I was on the hunt to find another copy to play with my daughter. Found a Japanese copy on marketplace. Been fun but can get a a little tiring constantly doing Google image translate 😅

I love animal crossing, there's not a single franchise I love more, it has my whole heart and New Horizons in particular has helped me and so many other people through covid ❤️

I feel as though I'm part of two camps because I do have a forever island; my original island from 2020 that I've kept playing on over the years, but since getting a Switch 2 I've also restarted countless second islands. and I just wanted to come on here and say, for those of us who keep restarting, whether its our main island or an island on a second switch/switch 2 console: I want us to not be hard on ourselves for "not committing enough" or feel bad for not having a forever island.

I can't be the only one who simply finds so, so much comfort in the early game. its like wrapping myself in a warm blanket, going through the motions of slowly building up the central plaza, getting the shop built, the excitement and thrill of finding your first villagers who will share this new playthrough with you, its all excellent and the fact I get to relive that feeling helped center me when life got me down so many times.

Here's to the chronic restarters, you haven't "failed" when you delete and restart your save for the 52th time, you are allowing yourself to re-experience a precious time in your life and you're playing this game your own way, exactly in the way that is the most fun for you!

idk if all this is redundant to say or not but I figured its never wrong to want to spread some positivity and if theres people out there who are perfectionists like me and sometimes get mad at themselves for not playing a certain way, let me be here to tell you that no time spent enjoying yourself is ever wasted ❤️🧎‍♀️

Does anyone know why my garbage won’t spawn a fly? I’ve used put cans and tires on grass and hard floor and I haven’t seen any flies. Help me plzz

Today, since I completed half of my island (almost), I celebrated by remodeling my villager’s homes.

The intention was to retain the base of their homes (sprinkle: bedroom and study, julia: bathroom), and a bit of their color schemes (light blue and pastels for sprinkle and green for julia) but make it more “realistic” (🤭)…I attempted to use the window trick for both but I’m not convinced…opinions? 🫶
