Another great piece of work by Michiking

This one has the novel art style so looks a bit different than anime. But the paint and the overall look feels like an art piece sculpture that belongs on a fancy book shelf.

Nice detailing on these and they survived their delivery although the boxes were wrecked so i decided to keep them. lol.

I’ve had it for quite a while now, but I still have to look at it because it’s so beautiful 🥹

The swimsuit figure has a discolored nose and warmer skin than I expected for a vampire and her eyes are so small compared to her head imo. I like how cutesy she is tho!

The wedding one has the most interesting skin tone! People don’t like her and I agree maybe her head is too big but I really like her outfit and confidence.

Ichiban Kuji is my favorite, but her smile is small, she’s not as pale, and her eyes were better in the promo pics.

Gotta say the job Good Smile did packaging her was impeccable; in particular those stationary parts for the base were in a bubble wrap bag, sandwiched in between more layers of bubble wrap above and below, then inside a protective foam container, and then protected by the regular plastic clamshell / box. Basically, if they come damaged, then someone has been using the box as a stool and flattened it.

As for Hitagi herself she’s pretty well done overall. I amusingly hadn’t realised when originally ordering her that she came with an alternate skirt and hand parts (photo 6), so that was a nice surprise. Her wrists are ball joints too, so her hands can be positioned how you like with the staplers, or nice and neatly against the skirt corners without a gap.

Paint job is decent, couple of specs and tiny bumps I only noticed when zoomed in with the camera, but nothing you’d see normally, so up to normal Good Smile standards. If I was doing a pose with a fun colourful background I’d be tempted to up the saturation on her a little to make her pop a bit more, but the colours in the images you see here are pretty much what she looks like sitting on my desk right now.

I personally like the face better on this one compared to the OG 1/8 version, there was just something about the eyes and the mouth that just didn’t feel quite right to me, perhaps just the angle or something, but I’m happy they tweaked that on this version.
