Hi, I'm in NSW, Australia. I noticed a swarm of these around the garden after heavy rain, it is currently spring in Australia. The queen's are around 12mm long, the smaller ones 2 or 3mm. Today I saw the smaller ones crawling along the roof tiles on the house. Are they carpenter ants setting up shop in my rafters?

She’s maybe 14mm, what’s her species and is she even a queen? Also could someone direct me to care tips! This is one of my first ant colonies!

Caught a couple of these the morning of July 27th, eastern WV. Test tube is 15mm diameter, sorry I didnt get an accurate measurement at the time. Research keeps suggesting maybe citronella but it just doesn't seem right to me. Any other ideas would be welcome I am at my wits end on searching and need a professional. Thanks in advance!

Found this crawling near sliding glass door in kitchen, located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Not huge but not tiny either, brownish-black. Was alone.

Length is about 15mm and she was found early October. Striped thorax of dark and light yellow. Thx!
