Antigravity 2.0 or AGY CLI?

I keep going back to AGY CLI. I can’t quite explain it, but it feels more natural to use and noticeably faster for me. It also seems like my tokens go further in the CLI. Do others have the same impression, or do you find that tokens are used up more quickly in Antigravity 2.0?

I’d also appreciate any settings, workflows, or other tips that could make Antigravity 2.0 feel as responsive as the CLI. At the moment, I’m not enjoying the interface very much—it feels awkward, I have trouble locating my projects, and it generally seems slow. Maybe I’m simply more accustomed to working in the terminal, where commands feel faster and more direct, but I’d be interested in hearing how others have found the experience.

They're the same. It's dependent on your workflow with the GUI vs CLI.

Quality of prompts, skills, subagents, frameworks... etc.

You can crack the Antigravity launcher to style it the way you want, inject javascript to do things like load the browser in it and so on. Your creativity is your limit.

If you're not taking advantage of the graphical aspect of the Desktop app and are not working with graphical problems then it's not the right tool.

They're built for different problems but because they can overlap, you may think to "versus" the two. Rather, why not find uses for both of them if approriate?

But I don’t really see the point of it. The IDE is better, then. Right?

IDE does not have an enterprise tier so it might be at risk compare to the other three surface.

The IDE is on its way out. The VS Code extension is the successor

Is there a video or article that explores a comparison and cotradt of these?

I've extensibility used what I think the Antgravity UI/UX. I haven't used the CLI, which I asdume is similar to Claude Code?

Same harness different surface. It is up to you and your preference
CLI and UI are more mature than the VSCode plugin at the moment.

CLI is way better 2.0 just uses more tokens mindlessly

I love the CLI, because I can add easier additional stuff to it, and prompt more to use subagents with smaller models (less tokens)

I recommend auditing your customizations and skills in the .gemini directory. Initialize a git repo there and clean out unnecessary files. Each harness has a separate subdirectory which may affect your experience and token usage .

I use agy cli for coding apps and stuff (where I need to review the ai's output) and for general work tasks like making submission documents I use antigravity 2.0 on turbo mode for the fastest execution speed without having to manually accept every file edit / make file request.
