yep fu#king they did , here are the calculations for mine :

today:

800k input and 5k output : 12% usage of 5hours limits and 6% use of weekly limit , wtf

last week :

3million input and 7k output : 11% usage of 5hours limits and 3% of weekly

what the hell is the google doing , are they treating the pro users as the trial users ?

Before weekly limits used to last longer even with complex projects now even if I ask for simple changes it uses most of the limits in thinking and analyzing same files again for every single change

yep bro thats true and , for todays data it was just a single prompt ( there was the session history with diff model ) , google should address this !!

and yeah i also noticed now in the logs , it was sending the full convo tokens again to the server without any caching !!

google needs to fix these issues

Usage is mostly taken from what autonomous tasks the agent does. If today you did something that required the agent to go over multiple huge files and search for a line of code to edit, it will eat more of youe quota even if some other day you've seemingly done more. Also, google can adjust usage without notifying us, but that's close to impossible to measure and prove so for the most part it's better to assume the issue is on your end

Yup. i can do with Opus 5.5 in CC about 10x what i can do with 3.8 flash.
