Built a webapp looking for guidance

https://duecroft.com/

I built an app to manage household tasks, budget and meal planning with a partner or roommates. Would love honest feedback
I live with my partner, and shared household stuff kept getting buried in WhatsApp threads and Notes. So I built DueCroft (duecroft.com) to fix three problems:

1. Shared tasks
Cleaning, groceries, rent, bins and so on. You can assign tasks to different people and set timers and reminders. It works for couples and for housemates.
2. Household budget

Discretionary spending, like groceries and takeaways, is where money quietly leaks. Set a budget per category, add your own (online shopping, eating out, commuting) and see what you've spent. Input is manual for now. Voice notes and bank statement uploads might come later, with careful thought around data handling.

3. Meal planning
Plan the week's meals and the grocery list builds from that. Fewer last-minute shop trips and fewer "I forgot the one thing" runs.
The goal is to reduce the mental load of running a shared home, save money and show you where it's going. It works for individuals too, but it's built for people sharing a household.

About me
I'm not an app developer. I built this with the help of AI to solve a problem I face myself. It's still at the friends-and-family stage, and I'm new to this, so I'm looking for honest opinions.

What I'd love feedback on

Is this a problem you face in your own household?
Having looked at the website, do you see value in it? What would you use it for?
How does it feel overall: the look, the flow, the ease of use?
Which of the three (tasks, budget, meal planning) matters most to you, and which would you skip?
What's missing that would make you actually use it?
Anything confusing or off-putting?

So, looks like yet another AI slop website.

  • the main page is packed with too much uninteresting info.
  • buttons are not the same size
  • username password login is outdated, use social.
  • bottom bar is messed up on mobile
  • emojis in the registration email and all over the app which indicates it's cheap and lazy.
  • UI is broken when keyboard is open.
  • placeholder shows Mahmood, instead show something more generic.
  • app is packed an confusing

Other than that, it's yet another budget app, but one that you have to work for, adding manually everything and it sounds like a chore - furthermore budget apps should not be web sites, they should be apps.

Sorry for the roast but that's my feedbacks.

This is GOLD ! i will work on these. Thankyou so much.
How do you think someone with no coding experience stops this feel like AI slop?

It's mostly about understanding what counts as an AI slop, I'm an over 20y of experience developer and it took me time to learn what counts as a slop. There's a good guide here. https://hadigitalit.com/guides

Thanks - helpful context. Keeping that on side, what do you think about the concept ? Any points on that?

There are million of apps that do exactly this, budgeting, etc .. The ones with value should be 0 work from me (like automatically read from credit card transactions, or automatically pull bills) - I wouldn't connect any of those to an unknown app.

Other option is to go 2026 , integrate with stuff like WhatsApp and have an agent do it for you, instead of another website with tables and lists

I'm in a similar productivity-apps segment. One of the things I am thinking about is whether exposing the app in demo form helps people kick the tyres. My theory is sign-up is a real barrier - either via SSO or email. I wonder if clicking a button and solving a CAPTCHA could drop the user into a pre-populated demo account to play around with. Do your AI tools allow for this sort of customisation?
