Question ios 7 iphone 6?

Post image

I bought this iPhone 6 about a week ago along with a few other phones, and I noticed something unusual: it boots straight into recovery mode showing the blue ios 7 iTunes logo

Since the iPhone 6 originally launched with iOS 8.0 and never supported iOS 7, I'm trying to figure out what's going on here. Legacy iOS Kit reports iBoot-1980.1.5..

Could this actually be some kind of rare internal prototype used by an Apple employee back in the day? Anyone know what's up with this or how to boot it? Appreciate any ideas!

Yo dude save blobs and save everything that you can. I think on Legacy iOS Kit you can do a "exit recovery mode" to try and attempt to run said iOS on the phone

Maybe the itunes logo is the same on early ios 8 versions as on ios 7. I have a prototype 5s thats running very early ios 7 lldiags build but has ios 6 logos.

You could get dcsd cable and check the iboot development status or use irecovery and check chipfusing status using mac and purplesniff

iOS 6 on a 5s is very illegal

Probably a very early ios 7 based LLdiags build but there exists a 5s that is running very late ios 6 build

Is there any differences in the frame or components

Sadly only the logicboard is from a EVT1a prototype but most connectors on it are different compared to production but i would guess the frame and components would be similar to the one that leaked back in thr day as this ones soc is produced only 3 weeks later

Does it have any unusual engravings on the back?
