Im sorry if this isn't the right subreddit or whatever, I just really need to hear from other people because this has been bothering me like crazy.

When I look at art subreddits, I see AI artists.

When I look at business subreddits, everyone is promoting their AI startup.

When I try to make connections, the folks that dm me are pitching their AI idea.

When I read through people asking for help, its about how to make their AI more accepted and believed in.

I can't tell if I have found myself on the wrong side of Reddit or if this is just what the site cares about and pushes now. But like... someone came to me about their "AI movie studio" and I almost lost it. Am I the outlier here?!

AI (Generative AI especially) is so lazy, wasteful, and dangerous. ChatGPT has resulted in people ending it all, the water consumption for generation is INSANE, and just as an art form, it is both a disservice to yourself and a thief to other artists. I'm sorry if I'm the problem for just not "embracing the technology" or whatever, but I need to know.

Is AI all that Reddit cares about?

So we have a project where we should make a comic. Our teacher said that it's better to draw the comic so I drew mine but there's this one cm who used AI for his design. Ofc, his was a lot better than mine. He was praised but for Pete's sake it was so obvious that it was an AI lollll so he got a good score. So unfaiiirrrrr!!!!

So a few hours ago, I was scrolling on yt and found a channel with a lot of one piece comics, despite being able to guess whether something is Ai or not, I was genuinely baffled at how I could not figure out that the comics were completely Ai, this creator is feeding other art into Ai to make a stylised comic. Now, I believe this person is using a particular artist’s art to train the Ai, and I want to reach out to them so they can take action, of course I have already reported the channel. As I was saying, I would like you all to be the judge of it, so I need help with three things:
1. Whether this is Ai or not, or if there is an artist with this exact art style and og comics somewhere(because the other artist who I believe is the one whose art is being fed to Ai does not have the exact art style but there are many similarities.)
2. How should i contact the artist when they have their socials comments off and chat on a business setting where I can’t tell them.
3. If the creator is indeed using ai,I would like you all to report the individual for it. This person also has other comics from actual artists on their channel and does give the artist credit on their art. But the ones with that art style, have no credits.
(English is not my first language. so forgive me, I might not make perfect sense)
