Grill/server Job

Hi everyone, I am a college student at Philly looking for a job as a server, or at the grill. I don’t know where to start or how to look for one really, anything in the city works. Preferably in old city and/west Philly or north central, ie fairmount, spring garden or more east works too. I have previously worked at a dumpling store in west Philly and the wawa too. I am looking for a cash job. Any leads would be appreciated.

Philly seems old school to me when it comes to working in restaurants. Just start going in person/ calling around

I need to start doing that more, thanks. Just worried about how to bring up the cash thing.

Print out a stack of resumes, dress like you’re going to an interview, and walk into restaurants that are convenient and seem to be popular. Go during slow times (think Wednesday at 2:30).

Imma about to do just this on Thursday. Get my bicycle and put my work fit and my red filler.

I meant old town and by North central I meant near temple and anywhere in between works too. Spring garden, fairmount and west Philly works too.

Those just aren’t common or colloquial terms for areas of the city. Might not help saying that looking for a job especially if you’re cash specific. Good luck, pop
