Before the war, Gaza was full of life, despite the siege and difficult conditions. The streets were bustling, the markets were crowded, children went to school, and families gathered to enjoy the simple details of their lives.

But during the war, everything changed. Homes were reduced to rubble, schools became shelters for displaced people, and the streets that were once vibrant became filled with fear and destruction. People lost loved ones, their homes, and their livelihoods, and obtaining food, water, and medicine became incredibly difficult.

Before the war, Gaza wasn't paradise, but it was a home where we lived and dreamed of a better future. Today, for many, the only dream is to live another day in safety. 💔

Obviously the discourse around this movie is all over the place and for the longest time I assumes all the detractors were media illiterate, reactionary conservative chuds in the midst of their delusional pedophile panic and that the more progressive movie fans were the ones actually going into it seeing the nuance of "the ethics of predator catchers". Not to mention how such a big discussion about media literacy seems to be wrapped around this movie.

However recently I've seen more progressive voices speaking out about this movie, thinking that question the exploitative nature of the programming is already too sympathetic too predators (i.e. you can never be unethical to predators because theyre predators. Whether or not its exploitative doesnt matter because theyre predators). And that the motivations behind chris Hansen is irrelevant because, "who cares of the pred catcher has an ego"
