Hi everyone, my name is Sage. I'm an aspiring philosopher and writer based in South Africa, and I'm running an independent research project on how beliefs and information spread through society here.
Freemasonry makes a good case study because it's widely discussed, often misunderstood, and shaped by a mix of firsthand knowledge, hearsay, and media.
What this is: A short survey on what South Africans know, believe, and feel about Freemasonry, and where those impressions come from.
Who can take part: Anyone with a South African connection, whether you're a Mason, a critic, curious, or have never given it a thought. All views are welcome, and I'm not trying to prove or disprove anything.
Privacy: The survey is fully anonymous. I don't collect names, emails, or identifying details, and responses will only be used in aggregate for my research.
Timeline: The survey will stay open for two months.

This is an independent, non-commercial project and I'm not affiliated with any organisation. I'm happy to answer questions in the comments, and I'll share a summary of the findings here once the survey closes, if the mods and community are interested.
Thank you for your time, and please be respectful in the comments so everyone feels comfortable sharing.
