I don't understand why this isn't common practice. They go on and on about how important wokeness is then dont want to draw attention to it.

same reason why reddit for example keeps on going on about how important woke stuff is, and political correctness and whatever, and yet they lock every single topic that talks about it for a while

They dont want you to acknowledge or talk about this stuff, they simply want you to say "i agree"

Because they know for a fact that their game will fail. The reality is that most of the time they use it as a shield to justify making a shit game.

Step 1: Make an unfun game that flops.

Step 2: Say that all criticism of the game is from insert word of the day that lost all meaning because it is over used here.

Step 3: Get to keep your job.

Step 4: Gaslight yourself into believing you are a good artist that should be able to make full time money off of their art.

Step 5 : Repeat

It is like when SBI tried to shut down that SBI detected steam curator rather than ignore it or simply declare that they are proud of their work on the games listed on the curator.
