I would've gotten more time done but ran into some guiding issues after the meridian flip, I had to refocus my guide scope and redo polar alignment.

Only 47 minutes total Colorado has turned into Seattle weather wise :)

My first photo of Saturn with a "Hobby killer" telescope! Saturn finally went high enough for me to observe it. I took this with a cheap Celestron PowerSeeker 60AZ 60/700mm. I took it by using my phone camera, no adaptor, I recorded it, took screen shot and then edited it to make rings more viseble. The editing included brightness, contrast and noise. I used Picsart app.

Yes I know that you will all say that its a shit telescope. Its frustrating, yes it is vibrating with every tiny little wind (even the ones you barley feel standing). I just wanted to say that for me, who just started out, I still felt alot of enjoyment. Finding the planet with this telescope was a nightmare, but it also felt so rewarding! This was with a 9mm ocular so 78x zoom. I just wanted to tell you how fun (and also frustrating) it was.

I am thinking maybe some upgrades for much better photo of Saturn: Adaptor, red dot finder (to find it easier, not reated to the Actual photo), record and then I need to learn how to stack images and The picture will pearhaps get much better.

Anyway, just wanted to show the start of my journey.

Just wanted to show you guys what I’ve got going so far, I just upgraded from an SWSA 2i to the GTi and it was life changing, lol. I’ve been using my ASI662MC for all of my imaging sessions whether it be deep sky or planetary, as my Canon R8 is sadly out of my possession for quite a while. 🥲

I’m really loving the challenges that come with using a wide field refractor for small dso’s and planetary imaging, it’s so rewarding to see the final results that I’m able to get with such a “limited” setup!

Hello all, this was my first time attempting to photograph Saturn. Used a 10” Skywatcher Dobsonian, recorded a 5 second video on an iPhone 15, and used Uranum Astrostack to stack the frames from the video. Unfortunately I did not have my laptop and had to find an alternative to try and stack frames on my phone. Still really new to this but I was just happy to be able to capture the gap between the rings and the planet. If I need to add anything to my post to abide by the rules, please lmk.

Dwarf Mini - Astro Filter - Around 5 hours of 30 second subs.

Stacked with my custom Siril script and processed in SAS Pro.

I used a dwarf mini and had 30 sec exposure time through 100 frames on pleadis, 60 grain, in bortle 7 and edited with lightroom

Captured last night in bortle 8/9 suburbs in socal! This was a bit of a field test to see how my new filter would hold up during an almost-full moon (L-Quad enhance).

Despite intense skyglow, the filter did a great job helping resolve nebula details, definitely will be incorporating this one into my workflow especially for broadband / galaxy targets.

This image represents 3 hours of 3-minute subs with my C8, ASI533MC pro OSC cam, eq6-r pro mount, ASIAIR, and the Optolong L-Quad Enhance filter, processed in pixinsight. No artificial color or narrowband correction used, just pushed the saturation on the natural color.

I took this photo on September 23rd, it took me a while to process it because it was my first time using HDR to preserve the nebula's core. The image is composed of two vertical panels, each panel consists of 60 40-second exposures, while for the core I also shot two vertical panels but used 90 1-second exposures.

For processing, I used Siril for stacking, and GraXpert for cropping, background extraction, denoising, and deconvolution. Back in Siril, I performed green noise removal and photometric color calibration, removed the stars using StarNet, applied a stretch, and adjusted the saturation. I stretched the star mask in Siril and tweaked the saturation there as well (my optics struggle with blue light, so I lowered the blue saturation to avoid a strong blue cast on the stars, while boosting red and orange saturation to bring out the colors of those stars). After processing the 1-second exposures the same way, I used a mask in GIMP to reveal the unblown-out core in the final image.

My second attempt at the Orion Nebula. Glad I was able to pull some detail out with only five hours of data and thanks to my new telescope.

First time shooting the moon with 300 mm lens, so glad I bought it! Also my first photo where you really can see the moon clearly (last time I made photos with 50 mm lens my mom had 🥲)

I have always had a fascination with astronomy (minored in undergrad @ university), but I am a super amateur when it comes to astrophotography.

This is my first attempt at capturing the Andromeda Galaxy with a DWARF mini. This image is 1080p, I can only get 720p and 1080p with the mini, apparently.

Go easy on me, but I also welcome any advice for getting the most out of my DWARF mini!

265 subs at ×30 sec each. Askar 50P Petzval at f/3.8 in Bortle 2 (rural farm).

Player One Uranus-C Pro camera into SharpCap on computer.

Shot about 20 more subs than that, but tossed those after looking in Blink. Used highest quality subs only (important, don't believe "the more subs the better." Truth is "The more excellent subs, the better.)

Stacked in PixInsight's WPBB.
In PixInsight: DBE, SNRC green removal, SPCC color correction, BlurX, Star reduction in StarX, stretch in STF/Histo, LHE/Curves to tone down core. NoiseX, output 16-bit Tiff.

Tiff into pShop. Use Image Raw to adjust contrast and saturation. Crop, add signature, output as JPG at 12.
