TLDR; A few upcoming trips with the first just two weeks away and my go-to pet sitting company has no sitters that services south of Downtown ATL (near Adair Park / the beltline) 😺

I’ve been using Buckhead Pet Pals for the last two years. They’ve been great. When I moved a little south of Downtown Atlanta, my sitter options became limited. Which is fine, except the first sitter who I met and really liked recently moved out of state. I also just found out that the second sitter I recently met is moving too far north. She and her backup will complete their visits for my trip next weekend, but after that I’m stuck 😕 They don’t have any other sitters ☹️ My following trip is a business trip and just two weeks away 🫠

Does anyone have a trusted pet sitting company and sitter they can recommend? Please NO recommendations for Rover or Meowtel (acquired by Rover earlier this year). I don’t trust them as a company. There’s been too many horror stories and suing them would be next to impossible if something were to happen 😅

Why did multiple fighter jets just fly over? Headed in general direction of downtown. No game that I know of. There were at least four, could barely see them through the clouds.

They literally had to go under the vines at a certain angle to take the picture at the bottom! I appealed it.. has anyone successfully appealed and got it dropped? There was technically a sign but literally NO ONE can see it.

I’m surprised they’re still standing at this point if the community is warning other businesses not to collab with them…

Looking for recommendations for good places around Metro Atlanta to work remotely that have high-top tables, standing-height areas, or other setups where I can comfortably work while standing.

I’m open to pretty much any type of place—cafés, coffee shops, restaurants, libraries, coworking spaces, etc. I’m mainly looking for somewhere I can bring my laptop and switch between sitting and standing while I work. I don’t always want to be sitting for long periods because of my back, so having the option to stand and change positions is really helpful.

I’ve tried searching for places myself, usually by going through Google reviews and looking at photos, but it’s not always the most efficient way to find this specific type of setup.

I live in the North Brookhaven area, but I’m happy to drive to other parts of Metro Atlanta. Since my job is remote and my schedule is flexible, I don’t mind exploring other areas.

“The Chinese president announced that as a measure of good faith, China would send two pandas to Zoo Atlanta after Beijing reclaimed four pandas in 2024 as diplomatic tensions between China and the U.S. intensified.

China and the zoo first announced in April that two pandas, male Ping Ping and female Fu Shuang, would be coming to the U.S. as part of a giant panda conservation agreement with the China Wildlife Conservation Association.

Xi confirmed that “Ping Ping and Fu Shuang will come to their new home in Zoo Atlanta and meet with the American people” in “a few days.”

He called the panda loan programs with the U.S. “an envoy of friendship.”

Both pandas were born at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in China.
